They're system apps and they work as you run your Droid. You won't see them (this is according to a post from Pete over at DF).

Yes, I am having major battery issues. With BB 1.0, using the p3droid 800LV kernel, I would be at about 70% battery after a full day at work, moderate usage on the phone. Using 1.1, same kernel, I'm down to 40%, similar usage pattern.

it's been said multiple times they are system apps but wtf do they do? what did we gain by adding them, thats what we want to know.

My experience was the same. Switching to P3 fixdit. Was on CM for a few days, but I went to mow, and had a bitch of a time with BT. No music makes mowing my yard take twice as long, and the hill gets twice as steep. Took a water break and flashed BB, and all was joy again. Thanks Pete.

I just rooted my Droid today and I'm looking to try out this ROM. Can someone give me a step-by-step or at least point me out to one? Also, once I flash this ROM, can I expect my apps to still be intact or will they have to be reinstalled?

Start by reading the FAQ: [FAQ] Bugless Beast - Pete - AllDroid General Forum - [FAQ] Bugless Beast - Pete - AllDroid General Forum - Forum.
And if you do a wipe, as you absolutely should, you will need to reinstall your apps. I recommend you get Titanium Backup, then you can restore apps and data (but NOT system data, other than those items in Titanium in green font).

I got Titanium Backup and went to Batch > Backup all user apps + system data. Is this a sufficient backup of my applications? Also, since you noted I shouldn't backup system data other than the green items, should I just go through and uncheck the red?

Actually, it's fine to backup everything. But you definitely should uncheck the red items when you batch restore ater installing the ROM.

Cool, everything's backed up. Now, how do I wipe it? In the FAQ it says to use Clockworkmod Recovery, but I can't seem to find it in the Market.

Has anyone else been having issues connecting to Facebook? I dont' know if this is rom specific but ever since I flashed v1.1 I have not been able to connect. "An error has occurred while fetching data. [Null]" Running included kernals, down graded baseband. Speed test confirm I am getting higher performance out of old baseband, so I want to rule that out?? Right??

From what I've read, there's been a global issue with Facebook today that is unrelated to this or any other ROM.

Made it to Bugless Beast alright and now restoring apps and settings. It's kind of exhausting to have to hit the install button for each one, though. Is there any way around this so this process doesn't take forever or is this a paid version feature? D:
