Im not even gonna lie to you. Once this cm7 is up and running im gonna mod the crap out of it. lol. I really dont have any java or c+ skills but i do a great job at replacing stuff and compiling things lol

I'm not worried about. Just want to get it out there.

However, I did find a bug in the recovery (not backing up correctly) which I'm going to postpone releasing anything for, and still haven't gotten the battery problem sorted (but I won't let that stop me from putting out a beta) but I really don't want to release a half-working CWM.

release it for trouble shooting and testing purposes, thats what i did with the monster. I had a shut down bug and somebody who downloaded it got it fixed. and what android version is this?

I dont know if its related but I thought anything higher then 2.3.4 had issues with MetroPCS service? and that there was a lot of hoopes to jump through just to get it to partially work?

yep 2.3.5 i had a lucky one. over clocked to 749 not all of them went that high.

mine would max out at 710, any higher i would get constant reboots.

Just a status update, I've got CWM backup and restore working fully now. Just need to get initscripts going in CM7 and I'll probably put everything out there in to the wild.

Negative. This phone doesn't do the battery shit like other phones (it may be a Samsung device-wide thing, not really sure) and again, no data to test on. I'm not giving up, just focusing on what I know I can fix for the time being.

Yeah, it's even the same model number, so I would expect it to work fine. As far as I know there are no hardware differences.
