Ok, so I did what Mister Ed suggested, and switched over to 3G and then initiated the text, and it worked. Still wouldn't work over Wifi for the MMS. That's an interesting bug, none the less.
I'm also having random issues where my phone will slow down considerably, or otherwise lock up and begin a vibration every 5 seconds. I have to pull the battery to get it to stop.

Also, another issue I've discovered is that the stock email app, will not save my signature and name entries if I rotate the screen from landscape to portrait. I've also seen where it will save (keeping the same orientation) but when I reboot and go back into the app, it's not there.

I honestly gave up and switched to google voice handling my voicemail. I tried everything and could get my voicemail to work just not notify me when i had a new one.
If you open up your voicemail app and hit menu do you still have undelivered message to activate@sprintpcs.com? Or is it another problem?
I did have that same problem activate@sprintpcs.com wouldn't send,so I too went to GV, but outta curiosity how did u fix the activation?
BTW gginggerbread 3 rom is CM7 rc1 with wimax, everything is same just has the wimax added (it says to load the .34 kernal, but mine is working with the stock .37 kernal just fine).
Also GPS seems to no longer be an issue...

I went back to a nandroid of a sense rom that i had and backed up the data for the voicemail. Then flashed my cm7 nandroid and restored the vm data with TB.

Thanks, it was the whole reason I created this thread. I was sick of finding nothing more than bits and pieces. The Incredible forum seemed to be moving along nicely and I'm glade to see this thread doing so well too.

what do you mean gginggerbread 3 rom is CM7 with wimax? It's a whole other rom... I have been missing 4G, but CM7 is my precious...

I read a few hours ago they on gingerbread 6 for wimax now.
I've no proof, just a hunch that the nighties have slowed down cause they are focusing on 4g.
another hunch? I think this weekend were all in for a surprise cause the commits been flying the last 24 hours... lots of activities...again... just a hunch
Well, thats exactly what it is, check out the thread by Shinzul, he and toastcfh (teamwin) paired up and created this CM7 Rom. I do agree that CM7 is awesome, and I would never suggest different, but this rom, now at 6 has WiMax burnt in. I just flashed right on top of nightly 40 (cleared cache, and dalvik) and g2g, off to the WiMax races...

Nice, thanks I'll give that a try, I had loaded the VVM.apk from a download, but I didn't carry along the data, so that would probably be the answer.
On a different note tho, I got hit over the head last night trying to break up a fight between some guy and a chick (can't stand watchin a guy beat on a woman, and even after what happened last night, I'll still jump in the middle anyday anytime) after leaving the Food Lion right up the street from my house. Well, somebody hit me with something, and my head was gashed open (my skull wasn't cracked or anything) so I split (no pun intended), and went home. While my wife and i were trying to wash away the blood, my evo fell in a pool of water but i quickly pulled it out, and then again it slipped in under the running water, for a couple minutes cuz i didn't see it fall in at that point. So I opened the phone up, dried off any water i could see, and tried to restart the phone major fail... But I left the phone open to air out, and went to the hospital where they put 5 staples in my head... I came back home, went to sleep, after i got up, and about 12-13 hours of the phone airing out, it works again, like nothing even happened... This phone is awesome...
Sorry for blabbin, and I'm sure this isn't the appropriate thread, but I felt like I at least know everyone here is on an evo, and it does pertain to that...

With the evo and water... there is a water sensitive material that changes color whenever it gets wet. Sprint techs will not honor a warranty (if needed) and will make you pay full out of pocket to replace it.
I'm only recommending this due to the reason why your evo got wet.
if you do not have insurance, get it. then if the evo stops working.. say its lost and do the insurance claim.
Sometimes (happened to me) standing up to a jerk beating a woman, back fires. I tried to help a lady one time and she punched me and told me to butt out... I tried and the dude started laughing when I walked away

Yea, I have insurance, and i know about the water thing, I was going to do just that, but just before i made the call to tell them i lost it, i figured I'd give it another shot, and surprise surprise, it came back on (the only problem i've noticed is that there is some condensation in the cameras both front and back, so hopefully that clears up without watermarks, cuz my pics are super blurry right not). And about the "butting in" thing yea, sometimes people don't even know what is right for themselves, and well not to say i do, but its just not right for that to happen, and as stated before, I will always stand strong with that moral. BTW, i'm really not sure who even hit me, or what it was with (maybe a bottle or something), so like you said, it could have been the chick that hit me...
Either way, my head hurts, but oh well, i still stood up for what i feel is right, and that at least makes me feel like it was worth it...

Your post was moved to the dedicated CM7 thread, where more folks with your rom will be looking... to be able to help you out.
Also keep in mind the forums tend to less frequented on the weekends.

Not that i know of. I have heard of why it wont for several reasons.
Some say its because its made for sense and others say it worked on CM6. Someone else says its because of some issue with gb.
I havent tried this but if you wanna video chat you can try this out, pulled from a post over at cyanogenmod forums posted by gaww:
"Tango will show you upside down to the other party unless you go into /system/build.prop and change the line ro.product.manufacturer=HTC to =Samsung and reboot." Since samsung is the only device with official gb you need to change it to that instead of HTC.
Make sure you use a program like root explorer.
I saw that app on the market, soooo, i take it, both parties have to have it to work right??? Can't have one using qik, and me using tango can you sorta like a meebo for video chat or something???

I'm thinking about going for it, just getting back to the thread... out for a bit. I'll read up on the suggested post and dn'ld the rom in a few. Anyone have any issues thus far?

I can't seem to find the nightlies.... I believe the site is down?!?! Not sure, thought I read that the download manager was down. With that, can I flash this over RC1 of CM7? I know it was built with CM7 build 40 in mind; however I can't get my hands on anything right now.... So it would seem that is. Thanks for the help guys!

Yes you can flash it over RC1 it says so in the thread b ut it also says if you want to make sure everything goes well to wipe first, just follow the install instructions in the wimax thread.
I flashed right on top of 40, but I'm pretty sure if u have at least rc1, ur good, just cleared cache and dalvik..
Also I threw in the flag on LP, was never much of a fan of ADW, but ADW ex definitely shows some greatness (a ton more options than the free version). And finally no more launcher FC (always just selected wait, and it ran fine after that, but it just felt shakey to me) on boot.
In regards to issues, I haven't noticed anything different thus far...

Thanks, I did a nandroid backup and then like an idiot just flashed over RC1 without wiping a thing.... so far so good. Worse comes to worse, I'll just wipe everything and reflash. Thanks guys, WiMax seems to be working well thus far.
