LP (i'm a long time fan) does not play nice with cm7. I found that by fixing permissions I was able to resolve all but a startup issue when rebooting the phone.. it would lag and ask to force close..by waiting it would clear in ~5-10 seconds. I tried adw ex and have better results. I did find that adw handles the startup lag better. although it fires up, its not all there for the same amount of tine that LP hung up. I did find that with lots of tweets, I was able to match LP with everything except LP widget support... still miss thatIm currently using LP with nightly 38. I notice that whenever I reboot my phone any widgets I have setup no longer load or work. I have to delete them and reads them to my desktop. I use weatherbug, simi clock, and batter monitor widget. Any ideas or suggestions?
Its normal from what I read.. i know sense rom's did not do this, but thats what I read at xdaI also noticed that the charging led turns green at about 90% based on battery monitor widget. Anyone else encounter this?
here is a more up to date unofficial link on cm7 nightlies if you like.

also if you read ahead in the forum there are reports of the gps still not working properly...
i cant test that build(36) myself because after using the older gps fix i dont have any issues even after flashing multiple roms.
from home screen, press menu hardware button>edit... then you can add delete screensIs there a way to change the number of desktop screens from 5 to 3 in adw launcher?

Is there any type of wifi mod? It seems like the wifi signal is weaker in cm7 than other sense roms Ive used.
Two issues I've been running into.
1. The WiFi issue that's been previously stated in this thread. My WiFi cuts in and out and sometimes I lose signal completely and my phone jumps to 3G. I check if WiFi is still on and sure enough, it is. My wifi works fine when this happens, both my laptop and xbox run just fine.
2. This is an issue that bothers me the most. I get random reboots when my phone is plugged in.
Any solutions to these? Especially the second one?
Thanks.
Did you set your wifi policy to never sleep? Go to wifi settings then hit the menu button and select advanced. There should be an option to never let it sleep.

Have you tried it out yet, how does it compare to the wimax release from a couple weeks ago?
Ok, so I tested this out and it works; however not fully. When following these steps you will find that your GPS work perfectly fine, but when and if you update your rom build it seems to break the fix. This is what I did and here are my theories. I downloaded and flashed the latest Fresh rom, followed the steps to the GPS fix and once I was done I rebooted back into recovery and wiped the data and both cache and dalvik cache. Finally I nand restored CM7 build 20. All in all about 10 mins or so of fiddling around and I was able to use my GPS. I tested it out along the way to the gym. I had it take me there and on my way there I changed locations several times to test its capability to reroute and maintain its lock.
All is well at this point (at this point I've had the fix working for approximately 2 hours. To get me to the gym and back home) So I decided to check out the latest build, build 21 and downloaded it, wiped cache's and flashed it on.... Once I was back in, I tried the GPS and it just wouldn't lock. Even data seems slower.
I decided to return to my nandroid backup for build 20 and we're back up and running.
So, my finding would suggest:
1.) Build #21 breaks the newly found fix or
2.) The fix only works it you have a nandroid back up of CM7
If this is the case, Rom flashing just got slower until a true fix is implemented. I implore everyone to please continue to read and post any and all findings. I remember back before the EVO launched and the EVO anticipation thread just blew up.... We had thousands of posts and a community was born. Share here and help us all.
Matlock.... Thanks for posting and trying to keep it alive here bud...
runs real smooth, Sucks I cant wifi tether but overall its been great.
Just a heads up that CM7 RC1 has been released.
