Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/01/13)

If I'm not mistaken, only Sprint based carriers (on Sprint towers) use CDMA now a days. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Sprint/Boost is also phasing out their iDen network and upgrading the majority of their towers. I believe that has a lot to do with the intermittent service people are experiencing.

I've considered T-Mobile and will probably end up going with them when I decide to change carriers. I've heard good things about them. Other than the shitty Boost CS, I'm happy with their service right. My wife and I both are on the unlimited plan and both our bills only total $75 a month. That's very friendly to a fella that lives on a budget. :D;)

Verizon is cdma too.

Verizon is cdma too.

Thanks Blood. I read an article awhile back that only mentioned Sprint as using CDMA while other carriers were using GSM. They were debating on which was better and a vast majority went with GSM. Kinda funny too considering that Verizon has some of the best coverage/signal strength out there.

Music app is fudged up now. Whenever I click on an artist, the app forces close.

Solution: downloaded Google Music.

the phone number/profile/prl and all that type of stuff is stored on the cdma partition, which I don't know anything about. but did you try updating profile through settings after you activated it?

i swear people @ boost need to fluffen know what there doing!...ugh they dont even know how update the profile?! im pissed but updating the profile worked perfectly thanks bro!

boot to cwm and make a backup
flash the rom
go to advanced in cwm and do reboot recovery
go to restore > advanced restore and select data
after its done wipe dalvik cache

that will give you the updated rom but you'll keep all user data and settings.

Did anyone else get a Goo.im notification (Sprint) earlier today? It said there was an updated version available, but when I went in there, only the 3.80 (which I already have) was listed as most recent.

Is there another awesome update in the works, or was this just a glitch?

nah, theres no update. it was just a bug with goo, it does that sometimes.

goo.im has been b0rked and slow the entire day. GooManger must have a bug where it thinks there's an update available if the server doesn't respond.

i know ctmod most likely didnt cause it but i was running it for about a month now when my phone randomly shut off and got fully bricked sprint is replacing it but will they know that it was flashed since its fully bricked?

Has anyone had issues with their ringer?

My ringer is at full volume. Call visibly comes in on screen, but there is absolutely no audio. When I answer the phone, I hear nothing, and the person on the other line hears nothing. When I go into sound settings to select a ringer, the radio buttons change, but none of the sample sounds play. I have to reset the phone to restore the ringer.

This has happened several times. I decided to remove MiHome to see if that helped, but it did not.

Any ideas?

If the phone doesn't turn on, then they won't be able to tell.

i called sprint they said they cant replace it cause i dont have insurance and lg said it will take about a month to send it to them have it fixed and sent back. so i bought a htc evo 4g off ebay im still hoping to fix the marquee as a spare though any ideas?

Go ahead and send it to LG if it's still under warranty. Whoever told you a month lied to you. The normal turn around for a phone work order is about 2 weeks. I had to send mine in to have the motherboard replaced and It was gone aprox. 2 weeks. All you've gotta do is make sure it's under warranty and start a work order with LG. They'll give you the return auth. (RA), address to ship to and all. Just send it in and wait.

You might as well since you've already bought a new phone. ;)
