Can someone explain to me the step-by-step process of installing this ROM? Thanks
Edit: I don't have my Phone rooted, is that a problem? Do I need to root it? If so, how?
I've been running this ROM for a while now and it has performed quite well. In the last couple of weeks I've had something strange happening in terms of it always wanting to go to roaming and not use the Sprint network. I don't know if this is related to the ROM in any way or perhaps the Marquee is having a hardware issue with the radio.
Any ideas on what I can check?
I've been having to do a PRL update about once a week or so for about the last four to six weeks. I've only done so through the phone menu, and never through the IMEI or DFS method mentioned above. It almost always reverts back to local 3g.

Every time I tried to update my PRL through the phone I got 1X service or no service. Which is why I say use the DFS method![]()

After I did a PRL update through the phone last night (which didn't change the PRL number), it was stuck in "roaming" with no 3G data (I'm on Ting, where the only downside is no 3G while roaming). I did 5 or 6 reboots, and finally gave up. I figured I'd be learning about DFS today, but this morning the phone is magically working again. Apparently sometimes these things heal!![]()
Here a decent tutorial I made about using DFS. It's pretty much straight forward on how to use it too. I also made a video to help walk you through the process. Please excuse the video quality though. It's a little blurry but still shows you the exact steps you'll need to follow. Just remember to pay very close attention to the last bit about hitting the RESET tab on DFS. YOU MUST DO THIS OR YOU'LL BE STUCK W/O A PRL. Best of luck if you decide to change it. If you have any questions at all regarding DFS, please let me know and I'll do my best to help you out.

I'm having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi networks. It will say that it's connected but the signal bar doesn't turn white. This has happened on several different networks. Anyone know what the problem could be. I have even done a factory reset and reflashed
grey wifi/3g/signal icons mean your not signed into your gmail account or you have sync turned off. It doesn't have to do with signal strength or anything like that.
Would that cause my Wi-Fi not to work at all. I couldn't get any Dara
it wouldn't.
if your home wifi is one of the networks thats not working, try to unplug your modem/router for 60 secs then plug them back in, wait another minute and try the wifi again.
other than that I dunno what to tell you bro but theres no wifi problems with CT.
I didn't think CT has ever had any issues with Wi-Fi. I was out of town at hotel and there was 4 open networks to connect to as guests and I tried everything and couldn't connect. . I guess it was the hotels network that wasn't configured correct. Thanks I'm just hoping to figure out what my problems were

Not to be captain obvious here, but just to make sure this is not the problem... Often with public wifi (especially hotels) after you have connected you have to open up your browser to accept their terms of use, etc.
Just saying, because I have done this before without opening the browser, and it seems like wifi is not working, but it was just the fact that I hadn't accepted their terms of use. Sometimes I just want wifi for other apps than the browser and forget about the way it needs to open the browser.
Just a thought.

You might go into the Advanced menu and check Regulatory Mode and make sure it is set to 11. Also make sure you are not set up to use a static IP. You can access the Advanced menu by going into settings and choosing Wi Fi and then press the settings button again then choose Advanced. If none of this works you might try using the Static IP option with a public DNS server like Google 8.8.8.8 for the primary and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary. You can see what you IP and Subnet scheme is by typing ipconfig in a command prompt using a Windows machine.
My phone got stuck on roaming after a trip down to San Diego over the weekend. Turning roaming off left me without service, and resetting, pulling the battery, and updating the PRL and profile from the device multiple times didn't do anything. After I did a PRL update through the phone last night (which didn't change the PRL number), it was stuck in "roaming" with no 3G data (I'm on Ting, where the only downside is no 3G while roaming).
