Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Hi Bloodawn,

well, so far, I got no major problems with 3.75.....All is running smoothly and fast..... However, there is a little quirk... If I go to "Settings>>>>CTMod Settings>>>>Partition settings, SDParter does a "force close" !!

After installing CTMod3.75, I started setting up my partitions ( FAT32, ext4, ext4, swap), and all went good, but since, I am not able to start "Partition settings ( SDParter)...... Anything I could try or should do ???

Thx

PS: Any news on the PM I sent you ? ( Take your time )

If you have granted it su access reboot and it will open fine from now on.

And nobody will EVER jailbreak it... its not a iPhone... :D:p

It however DOES have root... and a 90% working recovery... (won't restore backups) it even has Odin for purposes of unbricking ;)

They are sure to see development soon... they have Shabby Penguin and the OUDHS on top of things.

You knew what I meant :P
So maybe that will be my next one..ty for the info, I had been looking at forums for stuff about rooting it and couldn't find anything so just thought it was a lost cause. After having CT and everything on my prevail I can't deal with an unrooted phone ever again!

On topic with the thread however I tried a few more times, even rewiping and repartitioning the fresh card and kouma is still hanging on the load screen in data mode. Recovered back to default and everything is fine. It's the only issue I've had with the update and not a huge one right now, so if I figure out what it is I'm doing wrong I'll make sure to post it here :P

Nope, does not work. Checked su and sdparter has SU granted. Here is what happens :

If I click "Partition Settings", I get a short vibration, a black screen, two short vibrations and a message : "The application SDparter (process koumajutsu.tools.sdparter) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." and a "Force close" button..... Now if I click the Force close button, THEN I get a message that "SDparter has been granted su permissions !!!

Any ideas ?

I'm having problems trying to change the keyboard anybody else having that problem?

did you mean change as in remove the old one and replace with a new one? Im having the same issue in older versions of ct i would just open the zip with 7zip and delete the old keyboard from system/app and put the new one in and then flash the rom. did the same for this version of the rom and got force close.

any help much appreciated

It's probably because it's not signed with bloodawn's rom signature. (could be wrong tho)

Did you try using the apk installer? Or simply installing it as a user app and switching to it?

just put the apk in the system/app folder. and switched to it. that would make it a system app wouldnt it your response confused me yes i installed as normal using root explorer and it works but i wanted it to be a system app. not for any specific reason just always how i did ct to make it my own i would put apps that i used in the system/app folder instead of using the stock ct browser, launcher and Music etc.

Did you set the permissions on it to rw-r-r? If the permissions aren't properly set it will not work. Or you could use titanium backup to try and convert it.(and with regard to my previous post... I just know that certain apps need to have a signature that matches the rom... but now that I think about it, the keyboard probably isn't one of them)

im using the same keyboard just the paid version witch only adds some features which is buggin me out even more

i was just using this same keyboard on ct 3.68

no biggie if i figure it out ill post here

I had a problem once a while back with keyboards, I just installed a new one froze the old one and it forced to use new one and when all is good just uninstall old one. That worked for me, and if a problem just unfreeze old one and use again to get another new one. Might work, Might not?

what exactly do these files do clicker says keyboard calibration when i go to install the other says htc ime mod when i go to install

Clicker is setting and calibration of the keyboard and htc ime is actually the keyboard.

Is really light weight tho it takes nothing but 8mb of ram when is in use. Compare to gingerbread and jelly bean keyboard 13 to 18 mb when use.

I am have installed 3.75 on three phones all downloaded the file from goo manager. My personal phone says error ocassionally when trying to start up wifi. I can fix this by restarting the phone. Also it will not boot into recovery from the reboot screen sometimes. The other two phones are having a problem where the phone will say that the SD card has been unexpectedly removed and then the apps that were dowoaded will disappear until a reboot occurs. Any ideas?

Anyone remember the default swap path that is made by CWM (if there is a difference..)
it's like /dev/stl## I think
I'm not smart when it comes to this.

Running CT 3.75 with kk2.5 in data mode. When I enter ##3282# nothing happens. Screen doesn't go to the edit or view page. Any ideas? Also on carbon lite 3.75 Thanks in advance!

Ahhhh! Well swype is a slightly different story... inside the apk are two lib (.so) files. You have to extract them and pace then in /system/lib

If you rename .apk to .zip you can open it with 7zip and extract them that way.
