Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

I completly redid my phone with this rom and wow!
This mod is the fastest yet. It reduced my lag to near 0. Almost like its OCed.
Installed Link2SD and a 16 gig class 10 and its now the its little phone that could.

As i stated in another post it is amazing how much development is happening on this phone. Especially sense it is not a mainstream device and the source from Samsung is borked.

For best results flash this over a fresh odin EE14 with CWM and Hroarkkernal and do a Factory reset before flashing this

then i went and got EE14 ROOTED VERSION WITH CWM AND HROARKERNEL did the flash. Everything went smooth except mount sd card in CWM did not work kept loopin. So i got a copy hk_1_2_cwm_rev_4 slapped that one on everything worked. Then installed CTMod.

This is a speedy ROM. Asphalt 5 HD loads way faster now. Nice choice with the Zeam Launcher only 5-8mb on ram, not bad. Link2sd works on it (Excellent !!!!). All my apps work, had to grab Gallery3D and Jobmanager out the stockapps.zip:rolleyes:

I am experiencing my widgets not being grouped into folders... which makes for a very long list.. any remedy for this?

put the apk's on your sdcard
use root explorer or something like it and long press on one of the apk's and press copy
now go to the /system/app folder and press mount rw if it isn't already mounted then press paste

do that for the sprint apk and the 2 live wallpaper ones then reboot your phone and you should be good
 
This bricked my phone, I get error "cant mount/cache/recovery/command" working fine before trying this :/
 
Blood, my 3g is on fire, everything else is working like magic, this ROM is like lighting. Youtube videos run like wildfire, the speed is INCREDIBLE..........I can't be more thankful for your work. Thanks a lot.

i paired this with kickass kernel tweak, and 3g turbocharger. all seems fine. curious if we can also add the v6 supercharger? this stuff is all new to me.

How would you go about adding scripts like v6 and ram optimization to CTMod so they're running after flashing. Does that involve editing the init file?

Dunno if Blood tweaked the init script at all, but koumakernel has init.d support thanks to Hroark, Shabby, and a forum post from Optimus (but he doesn't know that :) ). All you should need to do is put your scripts in /etc/init.d/ and set their permissions to executable (I like 755 personally) and reboot. Should run like a champ.

First thanks, My prevail is running fast! But I noticed that my internal storage went from 130 mb (fresh install, KMS superuser, hroark kernel with CWM, nothing else) to 120 mg. I thought there would be more. Did i miss something? It still runs super fast! Thanks!
 
I am having force close issues while navigating with Google maps... The phone locates just fine but within 2 minutes the fc's flow like crazy... Replacing the network location apk and reinstalling maps didn't help

is this happening with maps or the navigator? if its the navigator its cause i removed part of the text to speech, ill be fixing it
 
so does following the installation instructions partition your sd card automatically? this rom makes everything run from the card right?
