I don't control the interwebs bro. downloading things like that to phones can take a while or lost connection and fail

cancel it and try again, use wifi if you can.
it finished downloading.
it just never showed the download bar xD
thanks though
lolz

Have you tested the sdcard on a PC ?
There is a chance that the thing just went bad , It happens all the time bro . Some of the cards out there just suck now a days . If you really found it in a broken LG phone , I wouldn't expect 2 much from it . There's no telling how old the card is or what it's been through .
it did take a long time to check for errors.
so long that i was able to make this...

Hey guys I tryed to make a partition on my sd card I just made a 512 one and it does not look like any size is different on phone memory or anything like that how can I tell if the partition got made?

Don't look at internal memory, look under settings/storage. If the total space is less than it is normally, you're g2g. Just remember that a SD card isn't exactly the size listed on the package.

I installed ctmod 3.2 then i did cwm restore and guess what now i have ctmod 3.1...............hmmmmmmmmm going to reinstall then use titanium tits backup

CWM recovery restores the entire phone not just the apps. And if your titanium backup has tits, you are looking at porn, not an android utility app.

If you are updating from an earlier CTmod version to 3.1.2, restoring system data in titanium backup will break the home button.

Well, I did this too when upgrading from 2.3 to 3.2. My question is, has anyone recovered from this issue without re-flashing? Will doing a complete data and settings wipe restore function?

If no one knows, I'll probably try it later today and see what happens.

You guys aren't by chance trying to install DTA2SD and then going right into partitioning your card in CWM before restarting are you? I tried this a couple times when installing 3.2 and it wouldn't let me partition without first, partitioning the card, then restarting, and then loading A2SD. I had to do it in that order with restarts in-between to get it to work correctly.

Using apkinstaller.apk to install Talk but it keeps crashing. I ran it again with the Talk services and it still crashes. Any ideas? I did a fresh install and clear everything before flashing 3.2. Thanks All

What's up with that?

Not running dta2sd
And idk what it even is.

Also...
" and it wouldn't let me partition without first partitioning the card"
How could you partition if you said you couldn't?

If you're not installing A2SD then you don't have to worry about it. You quoted only part of the process I was explaining, so of course if you read only that part of it you don't get it, that's why the rest of what I typed is there.

Anyway, like I said, if you're not installing A2SD as well then you don't even have to worry about what I typed.

Oh...
A2sd is not what I was doing. Lolz
I was trying to do sd-ext.
Unless this is the same thing.
I'm still kinda new to this stuff so its a bit hard to troubleshoot with my exp.
Yeah know.

I tried to install Google Talk too . No justice !

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Google Framework and this version of CTMod not updating ??

What I did was moved everything off my sd card and then went into clockworkmod and did the sd partition then went into Link2sd and it said the partition was made but when i tryed to install an app nothing went to the 2nd partition when i moved the new installed app it did not go to the 2nd partition it stayed the same size. So to me it seems totally useless as of right now Im back to a normal sd card partition if anyone can explane a way to me to make this work correctly then please do.

what are you doing to judge wether or not the app is moving to the sd? are you just not seeing the actual message from link2sd saying the app has been linked to sd ?

the kernel included with the rom is the unofficial KoumaKernel 1.3

I just compiled it from source, removed the /data to sd-ext mod and changed the splash screen.

1)out of curiosity, why did you remove data to sd-ext mod?

2)so to used link2SD we have to install CTMOD per the instructions, then use CWM to make an extension with a 0 swap size, reset and wipe, mount extension, reboot, then install apps which will automatically load them to SD?

I removed it cause having data on sd-ext can cause performance issues for some people. if anyone wants it all they gotta do is download the kernel from kouma's thread and install it.

and like I said before I've never used link2sd so I don't know. I know dta2sd works and all the koumakernel's work except for maybe 1.4.

O.O? So this is how to make it work?!

so I can install the kernal after I have CTMOD installed?

i got Talk.apk fixed, I'll probably have a new removedapps.zip uploaded in a hour or some shit. gonna see if theres anything else i need to fix in it.
