Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

GREAT instructions!! I have only one question. (YES I did it!!! my phone is rooted with your rom!! and Im a first timer!! LOL ok sorry ) any ways. My question.

Prior to the rooting and installing of the rom, I had the ability every time the keyboard was opened to click on a mic and speak rather then text.

Now, I know im a noob and im sure the file i need is in the files you gave, but I dont know what one lol. Would you mind helping me get that back? I do alot of driving and most of my communication is done through the speech to text input.

follow the instructions on the first post to add them
 
And it worked! I swear. This forum is the most helpful place I have ever seen. You all have made what was at first a heart pounding experience not only fun but enjoyable.

Good to know you got it. It was easy wasnt it :D getting there the first time is half the battle. Im glad your enjoying CTmod and "enjoying" (lol) the better web experiance.

Alright, for anyone who has trouble adding apps to /system/app this is about as easy as it gets

Download this - ApkInstaller.zip

Open ApkInstaller.zip using 7zip and drag and drop your apk's you need to the system/app folder in the zip

Throw the zip on your sdcard and flash it in CWM and your done

Don't make a post asking for help if you try adding some random app that you downloaded from the market or some website and the app doesn't work

Thanks for making a simple and easy way to flash the apps I needed and normally use and thanks for the awesome Rom.
 
lol i sure am. i notice i have more memory. since you guys deleted the apps we really dont use smart move . i was gonna get the evo and flash . might not now since i have a better rom
 
1? i do have though is i seen you guys say somthing about ram optimizer or something like that . it controls your phone speed and everything . where can i find that in the phone?

It's in /system/etc/init.d

Don't edit it, and it's already installed with CTMod and works like a champ.
There are no configuration items for it. And no simple method for verifying it's activity. It runs at a low level durring bootup

Flashed CTmod 2.3 and absolutely love it. Thanks Blood!

When composing a message from within the CTMod messaging app, if you hit: menu -> attach -> capture picture -> (camera app opens) take a pic (click OK) -> *force closes*. Anyone else have this issue? I haven't really modded the installation any other than installing launcher pro and a few other market apps.

Other than that and a question wondering how to lower the volume of the "charging" sound.. lol. It's insanely loud now.

Thanks again everyone for helping and making this so cool. I'm addicted now.

I tested it right now and the same happened to me. Although I don't send pics that way so it don't much matter to me I guess. But yes it does fc
 
Is anyone else having issues with MIUI camera?
When I click "Color effect" it force closes.
Also I cannot change the brightness in this application, when I move the slider no changes occur.
In the gingerbread camera there was a "night mode" for low-light conditions.
Is there any option like this in MIUI camera that i'm missing?
