Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Hey blood I saw these build.prop settings for 3g settings. Was wondering what you think, since you've made tweaks of your own. What varies from what you've done?

Thanks blood it worked.but if this is suppose to be on android 2.3 it suppose to have the manage calls feature when u on 3-way but it don't so wat do suppose to do?

You take the source from Samsung's website. You merge in the source from the main Android repository that provides that functionality. You try to compile and fail. You tweak shit and repeat until it compiles, then wonder why it doesn't work. Then you give up and just be thankful for what you have :)

Beautiful Widgets can also drink some juice, just be careful how your notifications and syncs are configured. I prefer to manually Refresh and no Notifications or Status Bar stuff. I am using the Weather Animations, but I have it set to only display them when I view that screen.

I thought that I had WeatherBug set that way also, but it apparently did not work or I missed something. I like Beautiful Widgets better anyway.

Mine are very faint. Also in texting it dead silent. The phone and such is very low. You can hardly hear it. I had to turn it on to check and verify what your saying. I alwayss keep all that stuff off including the haptic and the screen brightness, so I'm note worried :D
 
Market showed an update for Zeam this morning. Just a heads up for the next release.

Also, maybe there is an easier method, but, since Zeam is a system app, before I allow the update, I use Titanium to convert it to a user app then do the update. After the update, I convert it back to a system app. This avoids the wasted memory that results from updating a system app. Of course, you can also use Root Explorer to move it to back and forth instead of TB. I also do a CWM backup before most updates, especially on something as critical as a launcher, since a glitch in this can be a real pain in the butt.

I think that Maps had an update yesterday, but of course that is not stock on CTMOD.
 
Hey, it's me again :) You were right, 3g speed varies A LOT depending on location! I noticed the best speeds are in the upper class cities lol I get at most 250kbps at work :( up to 1.2mbps in my gym! It doesn't go above 100kbps in the ghetto lol

I have to say once more this is by far the best ROM out there, even better than CM, IMO! In 2.3 all problems seem to be fixed but a new one came up: ringtones. I use Zedge to set my ringtones and it's going crazy, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. For some reason one of my contacts has a full AC/DC song as a ringtone when I selected a 10 sec ringtone I downloaded from Zedge. Also, sometimes the contact ringtone will be ignored and the default ringtone will play instead. Sometimes the ringtones will get mixed up, like this time my boss called but my "father alert" ringtone played and I answered "hey daddy" which was very embarrassing -.- I formatted my SD card and reflashed CT, problem keeps showing up... Think this is a Zedge problem or CT? Anyone else having to deal with this??

I forgot, this version says to have faster 3g, can I still use the faster 3g script or will that mess things up?

It makes a lot of sense when you really consider a lot of the underlying information. Cellular towers are only as good as the equipment used and even then, they can only give service based on the land line connections they have.

Much like high speed internet, you can only get the best speeds in areas that are where the newest equipment has been installed. This is typically newly developed areas, or older areas who have come into rotation for upgrade.

A cell tower that is connected to a 15 year old trunk is not going to have a Fiber Optic network connection back to the office and therefore isn't going to be able to give 1500+kbps bandwidth to even 1 user, let alone 250 if it's at capacity.

You'll probably find that even in the newer downtown areas that have the latest and greatest equipment and backbone cant keep up during peak usage hours. See how bad your data rates are at the mall on Saturday when it's elbow to elbow room only this weekend. That is, if you can even get a signal at all :)

I forgot, this version says to have faster 3g, can I still use the faster 3g script or will that mess things up? BTW I formatted my SD card to ext4 to be able to use a2sd but the phone will not recognize the sd card, what am I supposed to do??

I'm not sure about zedge or the sdcard

You probably don't want to use any 3g scripts, It may cause problems and slow your 3g down

I have this same problem. The Home button does not work. It's a fresh install, too. What do I need to do to get the Home button to work again?

theres one ciq file left on the phone but it doesn't do shit and it can't be removed cause its used by another file and the phone will bootloop if its removed

Hey Blood...quick question...I see "android.iqd" running as a cached background process....will not stop or go away even on reboot....is that normal with Carrier IQ removed?
