Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

hah I did the same exact thing

I experienced something weird, i did the stick.zip and the copy files to the xbin and super user apk and all of a sudden I could not get 3G data

I Odined back the image I made and 3G started to work again

let me know if you experience any thing weird like this

It seems to be working fine for me. I'm having to trim some fat out though because there was not enough room for busybox's symlinks
I'm stripping out the pre-installed live wallpapers, and a handful of apps I'm pretty sure are available on the market. I'm a firm believer that /system/app should only have things that are necessary for the system to run. Productivity and Glitz crap can live in /data

The keyboard doesn't seem to be able to keep up with my text fingers.

With es, you have to do 2 things, in settings enable browse as root, and mount as rw. Then select the star symbol and then the phone symbol. This will take you to the root the phone, the folder in question is located in there...

Well the more ROM we have the better,but I do kind feel like they are reacting to the stuff we are doing.

CTMod 3.1.2 works on the new baseband so I don't have to update the rom again for it, which I'm happy about cause I really didn't want to lol

Now I gotta update the first post saying its for both EJ06 and FA19

is there any advantages in running fa19 at all....what is the main difference
 
I just installed CWM backup of CTMod3.1.2 on
FA19 Gingerbread Rooted Image with CWM5 by Koumajutsu
and it's working well . :)
 
I dont know if anyone else is having this problem with ct 3.1 or 3.0 but i couldnt connect to any bluetooth devices. It will recognize them but would not pair or connect
 
I connected and talked on my bluetooth earpiece yesterday while testing . It will work . Maybe you need to flash the new 3.2.1
 
Just flashed to 3.1.2 and same as 3.0 and with 3.1 as soon as i turn bt on it asks to pair with device 00:00:00:00:06:00 and will not connect to anything else
 
After a moment , the numbers should turn to a device name like " Motorola Bluetooth Device " or something like that . I know that both my Motorola bluetooth earpiece and my car's bluetooth both register a name in the devices section after scanning .

Have you tried pairing it w/ another device ? if not , give that a try .

Like I said earlier , I tested it yesterday on the new version and it is working fine .

The system spitting out an invalid MAC address like that makes me suspect the controller. Flash back to stock and see if it does it.
If it doesn't, then clear out all your bluetooth settings before trying again.

And make sure you don't have some device with address 00:00:00:00:06:00 that keeps trying to talk to your phone.

If you can't find that device, walk down to the corner (to get out of bluetooth range, typically 30-60ft, so walk 150ft away from where you were at when you got the error (in case you walk toward the source) and try again

Flashed to cm7 and was able to connect but when flashing to ct 3.1.2 the same message keeps popping up without scanning devices. the 00:00:00:00:06:00 will pop up then my bluetooth device will then show up after scanning and i hit pair but it will sit there and does nothing

I have the same issue.
 
I flashed the ROM and all went well, but when I tried to install an app from the market it does the fc vibrate but it doesn't show the toast, but the zeam launcher restarts, and the install gets canceled

edit: I'm about to try it with stock 2.3.6

OK obviously I'm having an issue here so I have to revert back to asking the stupid questions. Can someone do me a favor and explain to me the process of updrading from CTMod 2.5 to 3.1.2 and flashing using KoumaKernel 1.3.2 cause I think I messed up somewhere. I'm not sure exactly what I need to format or wipe. I did a Titanium backup and a CWM back up. I thought I had it all good but after trying to restore the TB none of my settings went back to what they where like placement of the apps and all that. On top of that, my home button doesn't do anything at all. I know it's not the ROM but something I did wrong.

if you have a partition on your sdcard then format it in cwm, if you didn't then skip this step

flash ctmod 3.1.2, after its finished reboot back into recovery

flash the version of koumakernel you want

thats it

I do have a sd partition cause I was on 2.5 with KK 1.3 Ok so I format the sd-ext? Cause I swear I did that Then did the rest just as you wrote. Could be that I messed up cause I didn't reboot after I flashed 3.1.2, I just flashed the kernel then rebooted. Ok so after the reboot I should just have to restore the Titanium backup and everything should be back to normal? No advanced restore in CWM or anything?
 
For what its worth i am still using ctmod 2.5 & kk1.2 with a 2gb ext. and have not got any update notices. I did notice that when some people call me it goes right to voice mail without ringing. The last time I posted I was having issues with the phone getting a signal, this has been fixed and there is and was nothing wrong with the phone itself. After reading the past few pages it looks like others had some related issues like mine. I dont know enough to say if it has anything to do with the mod or kernel or both. Just wanted to throw that in there in case it can help in any way.
 
What do I need to do to get my speech to text working in 3.1.2? I'm pretty new to this but have ctmod running and am amazed by the speed. Everything else seems 2 work great
When I click the icon on the keyboard, I see a mic with the red line through it..

I reflashed it and it worked fine, but I woke up this morning and my phone has been updating apps all night and apparently something went wrong, the phone wouldn't lock, so i booted into CWM and I tried to restore to stock 2.3.6 but it said error loading system. but it looks nice blood I can't wait till it gets better I'll test the next update.
