Root [ROM/CWM/Kernel] CM7.2-RC1-requisite0 [BETA2]

so, i deleted my whole repo, decided to start fresh..... some reason cant get stupid thing to build.... ill know soon thou, cause its at about 93% till i can try again.... 7 gigs later...

i download both gb and ics, i got a similar error w/ gb .....BLEH!

oh this is after i created a local_manifest.xml and sync'd the repo from git... here is the local_manifest.xml if u dont believe me...

ok ok now I have the best rom ever. I've loved cm since ascend nd its better than ever on this phone. love my admire now. fully running cm7 o'clocked at 900! perfecto ...lol thanks nd thanks for my camera!!! I can't live without taking pics lol
 
Followed instructions to the letter and working beautifully. Now to set it up to my tastes :)

Edit: Had a little trouble with 492 error. Fixed it by wiping dalvik cache 3x and re-flashing rom+OC kernel.

Edit 2: Another problem I've been unable to solve is HQ on YouTube not working properly. If I turn off HQ, video will play fine. With HQ on, only audio works correctly.
 
Poking my head in here again. Have any Cricket Vitality users flashed this successfully with data? Can't get anything more than calls/text going. Or is that something possibly being addressed?

But again thanks Req... Love the rom and hoping to get it up and running on my Vitality full time.

Data issues in general are going to be addressed eventually.
 
Well my Admire has been a trooper and shes served me well but I just ordered a Connect 4g so I will be moving to greener pastures HOWEVER this means I dont have to worry so much about my Admire, so I will be giving these betas a try and will throw in whatever help I can to keep progress going on this phone :)
 
Switched back to Stock++. Most of the things I tried work with beta2, but besides problems with playing youtube HQ videos and data being really weird, I noticed my device's mac address kept changing and screwing up wifi. Looking forward to next update :)

Yeah, the wifi and mac address issues should be resolved in beta3, as are the youtube issues (full hardware accelerated gpu, currently testing the latest binary drivers Qualcomm released for ICS, but things look good, so they will be used in beta3 as well, so there's a small graphical performance gain as well). But the camera is really the snag, I might just put it on the backburner and try to completely figure out data and MMS once and for all (for all carriers) instead. Then beta3.

Full disclosure though, Crytek recently released the CryEngine3 SDK on GitHub, so it might be grabbing more of my attention span for the time being. Must...code...

yeah, every time i flash this, i get:

E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

And phone hangs in boot loop.


Edit: Reflashed CWM and then flashed CM7 and booted up fine.
