Root [ROM] Darkside Bound

Curious: is this one set up like stock+ to autoinstall apps 2 external sd or do I need to set that up? Thats some mighty quick turnaround on the updates too, man. Im liking stock+ a lot So far but im terrible and am flashing new roms every time something else interesting comes out.
Also unlike the Motion its so nice not getting a bootloop every time you do some minor thing the os doesnt like.
 
You can set up if you want apps to auto install to internal or external storage thru settings/storage on any Rom for this phone

This new update is called darkside unbound, right?

Lol. I keep stuff in a "roms" folder...

Either way I ****** up and didn't wipe data. When it booted I got no weird warnings.
Gonna flash again later but it's functional as of now.

Cool thanks, didnt realize that. Also I see you hunting the other forums trying to find some more love for our phone. Phandroid boys seem to be the only ones that care, *sniff*
 
Hey guys, new member here. i just picked up the permia 4g about a week ago. last night i rooted it using farmaroot (for the first time!), i installed shabby's CWM and as we speak im flashing this darkside rom. im brand new to the premia, as well as metro but i have droid razr maxx's (xt912) that im constantly crack flashing and helping a few developers test and tweak.
ive spent the last 2 days looking around for a jelly bean update, but based on what i just read somewhere on here i take it we still dont have one?


ok so the rom just loaded and ive only flipped a few pages and it seems to really smooth and fast! but where is the soft key for the menu at? lol, i cant find it...im gonna mess around with this and ill let you guys know how i like it. i might reflash it, because i didnt so the last step about disabling the recovery flash or whatever it was...

Thanks a ton killcmd for your hard work buddy, and i look forward being a member here.

EDIT: ok so ive been playing with the rom on and off for about 2 hours now. one thing i noticed is that before it would let me download any apps from the play store i had to go in and manually update the 2 apps that were waiting (google chrome and Gmail) after that it was no problem. I didnt download to many apps, just a few to try and tweak a few things to my liking and try and save some more battery life. also i installed GO launcher EX and when i went to start adding my apps from the play store i was getting a 491 error, i simply logged out of my account, re-booted, logged back in and bingo. shes running flawless right now.
 
Huawei is going to release a Jellybean ROM later on, so I'm really playing the waiting game. I'm not too confident in my own skills to port CM10 or AOKP to this device. Though it would make customization EASY.

I didn't see that anyone had attempted framaroot when I first came on and lacking a pc I decided to try it.

One question...
Is your proximity sensor working right? Mine seems really weak now and I'm the only other person I know of who has used framaroot on this phone.

Thanks killcmd! ive been trying to spend some time exploring the rom a little more but ive been turning up stones online trying to find the solution to something with my razr to the point my eyeballs are ready to burn out of my skull. CM10 is great man, ive always been a fan of anything cyanogen produced.
Question...what is this V6 supercharger? i cant seem to find it, and im not sure if its built in or whatever? ive just never heard of it and im anxious to see lol.

Also, if Huawei is releasing a JB rom, is it going to be an official OTA, manual update, or is it literally a ROM we have to flash? like i said bud im new to metro and huawei...either way it doesnt matter to me, i just want my 4.1.2 back :)

Framaroot is great man, ive rooted a bunch of friends phones with it just to see the look on there faces cause they think its about to be some extensive headache, and its over with before i take my first sip of a beer.
As far as my prox sensor, im not to sure bro honestly. coming from my razrs to this m931 i thought that the prox sensor was horrible right out of the box. and to be honest, i think since i rooted it and flashed this rom its def. gotten a lot better...it doesnt lag at all on me anymore.
 
Supercharger is a compilation of script made by zepplinrox. It's ran at boot and then randomly.

Huawei does use OTA but they also release downloadable copies too.
 
It'd be pretty cool if they released an emotion ui ROM for the phone. If they do release it'll be next year if anything, we're not their primary market.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure frama gains root via prox sensor
 
Been running it for two days, no real issues at all except that I have the feeling ill be flashing the latest updates like every week! Sensor, camera, call volume...i havent found anything broken yet, and battery life is noticeably though not.drastically improved. All my previous apps continued working seamlessly.
And thank god i a battery indicator showing % that works well...
 
Also sorry about thedropbox, lol. But damn that made for a nice download, fast and completed on the first try with no errors.over 4g. What a luxury :)
 
I must admit I chuckled at the dropbox post lol. I read on here that someone had an issue with there phone randomly rebooting. Its happend to me 3x in the past 2 days...the ROM is running flawless and I haven't had much time to dig through the phone. Anyone else having this issue?
