Root [ROM][DEV][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Spirit 4G

I'm messing with it, but I'm starting from scratch. PG has his source code posted, but I'm not sure if it's ok to build from it. I checked his source, but kernel source was password protected. At that point I deleted everything.

It'll take longer than I wanted if I can get a working build being that I'll try to be doing a new device tree.

My money is still on PG. I have no doubt he'll get this done. ;)
 
In this ROM we are supposed to have 3g/ev,,,but whenever i switch to cdma/evdo I get 1x....has anyone found a fix to this???

the ROM is still a work in progress so it's a bit wanky. sometimes it will show 1x and be pretty fast and other times it will show EV and be slower than maple syrup on a cold day.

my repo etc is linked for all to use, hence why its public and not a private repo. ;)

kernel src isnt actually needed, just habit and it saves coding for the modules. lol
 
Has anyone figured out a workaround for the hotspot? I use mine all day and that's the only thing holding me back from using cm10. I tried several apps with no luck. Works perfect on Katana v3

I think hotspot will work once 4G is working.

You could try pdanet+. It should allow hot spot even on 3G.
 
Nothing seemed to work for the hotspot. I tried every app I could find. PdaNet+, WiFi Tether, OpenGarden etc. Even paid versions. Weird because PdaNet+ even works on EVDO but not on CM10. If anyone finds one and tests it with success please keep me posted. Thanks

Sorry I tried. Yeah I'm not running cm10 yet.

I wish we could multi boot our phones. Like a boot manager before is loads. LoL that'd be sweet!!!

Edit: just goggled it. I guess it is possible.. but I believe the boot loader needs to be unlocked.
