nope, first I heard of it lol. And a few roms have that feature, like Omni.

I click a button in Android Studio to do it and it even gets saved to the pc. lol

Yeah with kk I screen record without 3rd party apps on both my GS4 and Moto G. All I did was use gravity box to place a shortcut in the power menu
