Root [ROM] DroidSmith_Force - Beta

camera apps are usually pretty well generic. its the libraries that get tricky. on the sequent we even got some nexus camera app working with a buildprop edit. dont remember what app but it was said to be very nice. it was part of shinru's rom shinjitzu/awesome android

I'll have to check with shin on that. It might be something we could bring to the force

I may have been to aggressive with some of the kernel tweaks. This happened early on with the warp also. Some phone react differently than others. I'll make some adjustments and run some tests.

Waiting on something close to the final build before I theme so that it can can be flashed over it & future updates won't screw with it. As of right now I feel he has too many changes in the making... Don't wanna do it twice, lol

That would be awesome if you wouldn't mind contributing to the project

I'm actually looking forward to it because I'm gonna get a Force when most of the kinks are worked out, lol. I'd like to have it rooted ROM'd, & Themed within 20 min of pulling it out of the box.

That was my plan too. I actually started work on this from 3 weeks before I bought the phone. Having the device made the kernel work a lot easier

I wouldnt wait to long cause Sprint has already stopped selling the Force. I assume they run out of inventory. :o

For anyone having issues with the rom I have updated matrix kernel. There is a zip available in the OP of the matrix kernel thread. Even if your not having issues I would recommend installing it. Ive scored over 14K in Antutu.

What's the next feature you all would like to see. I was thinking notification toggles, but I'm currently lacking the documentation to implement it on ics.

Themes? ;)

Also, JIM - Do I need to backup and resinstall everything for Droidsmith version 14.9 with the new Matrix Kernel? If so, that's fine. But, if I can get away with just adding to it without breaking anything.

And, can the new Matrix Kernel help save battery, more than the average CPU apps out there? Or is it just another, but better, performance for the expensive of battery drain?

I wouldn't recommend using any battery saving apps, there's no point to them, and I wouldn't install any cpu tools, dsf already comes with menus equipped to control the important parts of the CPU.

Matrix kernel is only the kernel and not a stand alone rom, so it has to be flashed over an existing rom.

I'm not running any, it's after a fresh install. I flash dsf 0.4.14 or whatever the latest version is, flash kernel 1.1, reboot and upon booting it freezes and crashes.

At least that's what my phone says
