Root [ROM] Harmonia 2.03 28Sept12 (Virgin)

No, the APK that is included in the Harmonia ZIP is incomplete. It needs to be put together again by Leslie.

Oh, well you may also want to notify her then, that there are other things in the system/app directory that appear to be incomplete as well.

Edit: Thanks Leslie, not griping, just reporting flaws to help out:D

So, what are you saying? That I need to Re download?

I believe he means that the copy put into the ROM is incomplete. Look at the md5sums, they are different. Downloading it again would just dpwnlod another incomplete copy. A full copy has to be put up.

EDIT: Sorry, im on my phone and didn't see he had already replied.

I can say that after using Harmonia for a bit, it has gotten extremely sluggish and Laggy to the point that I can't stand it anymore. Going to flash the deodexed stock ROM when I get home.

My battery has dropped considerably faster as well. I'm at 39 percent right now after about 9 hours of little use and taking 3g off whenever I lock my phone.

Try wiping your battery stats in recovery or using this app:

its all good, I didn't see that he posted the MD 5 sums before I asked if I should redownload

JerryScript used to tell everyone in the Optimus V forum after they'd flash a rom they wouldn't be able to tell the exact battery stats because it takes a while for the OS to make the calculations to determine the battery usage.

Thanks, I'll try that, but does this fix the performance issues as well?

All wiping batt stats does is erases your phones memory of previous battery readings in order to potentially obtain a more accurate reading by going from absolute 0 to absolute 100. In other words it just makes up for, say a 10 percent gap or so of battery life that your phone may not be reading. Sorry if that's confusing

You don't need to wipe data?

Not sure how much tweaking you plan to do to the ROM and if you take requests, but something I'd love to see and miss from my tablet, is the ability to clear individual notifications without going to the app that sent the notification and power control (sound, 3g/wifi/airplane, display, sync, gps toggles) in the notification dropdown.

Thanks for help with this.

Since I don't use the phone, adding a bunch of things is not high on my list, but that is also why you guys have stock and Aeneas that you can modify.

Was gmail and talk intentionally left out of the ROM?
Both are there, but the problem may be related to another issue.

Just reestablishing this for my own good, I know its not recommended that you need to do a full/clean wipe, but that's what I'm used to doing before I flash new roms, so can someone else verify for me that they have done a complete wipe and all is well, please?
This is so close to stock that wiping data is probably not necessary.

Bugs found:
Force close - Cannot adjust volume levels in system settings
Force close - Cannot adjust brightness levels in system settings, but can via Tesla LED or Power Control widget.
Force close - Cannot dial ##DIAG#, but can dial ##DATA#.

Misc. Notes:
The icons look great, and overall Harmonia is a god-send. Wifi and SuperSU (and SuperSU Pro) work correctly without a single hitch. Also, what exactly does de-branding entail/mean?

Confirmed, QuickMemo is there. I also couldn't get it to install - not that I'd want it to, but I tried.

Actually... I just compared the md5 of the QuickMemo_GB.apk from Aeneas to the one in Harmonia and they don't match. They are different sizes.

That is the problem.

Harmonia QuickMemo_GB.apk (852.1 KB) = 4c8dae99811ad3fd51125055ede27bae

Aeneas QuickMemo_GB.apk (897.3 KB) = 9086869810bca53ae72419edee3c1bd4

Odds are, all of these issues are related.

I overwrote all of the apps in Aeneas with what I thought was the same files. Clearly they are not.

I will post an update in a bit which should fix the issues. Should be a quick fix knowing that the files are different yet working in Aeneas.

This and the stock rom are extremely close.

On I.H.O. you had constant OS and kernel changes which could effect that.

Every app in Harmonia is being replaced with the equivalent from Aeneas.
No sense in trying to figure out which are good vs bad.

No big deal but thought I would let you know, the pattern lockscreen is functional but it's a little bit weird looking.

It does this with non-stock clock fonts

But does anyone know why? I noticed this some time ago, but was always mystified by it. Unless their formatting for text is geared specifically for one single font and is easily broken by even the slightest change (which would be poor programming, in my opinion), that shouldn't happen, right? Then again, this is GB. Older Android. They probably didn't have any need to think about a change to it, and they probably fixed this in ICS or JB (no idea though).

But actually I prefer it with the different font, how the screen it set up, because it removes that ugly and unecessary gap between the date and the actual pattern. There is more use of blank space.

Wish I knew how to do this.

I saw, as did others the apks in the /system/app/ folder that were bad, I just forgot to post about it. I was able to install gmail from the play store, talk I could not get working.
