Root [ROM] ICS Elite Aeneas Build

I'm going to leave this ROM to the community as a whole. I'm no longer able to work on it. I have four bad discs in my neck,c1 through c4 that bother me frequently. I hope others would take up support. I'm just not able to. Sorry everyone.

We wish you a speedy and good recovery. I'd like to have available all current work on it so far, and create a better fusion ROM if that's alright. As of right now, I've only borrow a few .apks, nothing else.

On behalf of everyone; get well soon, buddy.

Have you heard from Curtis at all to be able to pick up where he left off yet Artine? I still need to figure out what keeps boot looping my phone when I reinstall my apps with other roms.

If you overwrite system apps, that is a potential occurrence. I have yet to contact Ktb83, and so far all I have from ICSOE is what is already available.

I don't overwrite any. I've even just restored games as well. Is it because I have them moved to the internal sd when I back them up?

has anyone had any problems with tts, i cant open the settings, its force closes each time i try and i desperately want to get rid of the default android voice.

Just bought the Elite and I'm used to the Optimus V so installing an ICS ROM took up a lot of room. Do I need to flash GAPS? Also, Does anyone use this ROM as a daily driver? The stock OS it comes with may be outdated, but it's not bad. There are a few things from a ROM that I'd love to see so I'm contemplating flashing one. Also, has anyone installed SWYPE on this rom? Sorry for all the crazy talk, just got this phone and I'm surprised more people don't have it. Very inexpensive and easy to use. Perhaps more ROMs in the future. Thanks for taking the time and creating this. We all appreciate it.

Love

No Gapps are needed with any of the Elite roms, they are all stock based, so they can have gapps preinstalled. Swype may still be installed, either way you can install swype beta from their site. I can't say for sure, because I'm running Sleipnir with the Ics theme.

How does it compare to the likes of the ICS roms for the optimus v? Like I said, I just unboxed this phone and rooted it super fast. Thanks by the way for that!

yeah the hardware is a huge upgrade from the V so even on an old OS it seems fast. Pretty nice for an entry level phone. If we ever get an ICS or JB port it will be even better.

Do i have to download a app that lets me download the roms and gapps package?

You don't need gapps for any of these roms since they are included or you can download them from Google Play. Go to the very first page of the Rom you want and look at the first post within it. Should be a link to it. Which Rom do you want? This one is outdated and is NOT ICS. Just themed. Head pver to Sleipnir if you want an amazing Rom. :]

Looks like Curtis may have pulled the file. It had became outdated and he was unable to keep up with it due to some health issues.

There are a couple other roms that are updated. I'm running Artine's Sleipnir Rom on my wife's Elite and it runs great

Seems all the roms are outdated/quit being worked on.. what would be the most "stable" and "current" for the elite? almosttempted to learn this stuff myself.. btw, is there a barebones stock rom that is still downloadable?

Phenom's AOKP 4.2.2 is very stable and is still being worked on.

this seems to be for jellybean? mine is rubbing gingerbread. old phone. can't find much on roms for 2.3.7.... and I'm sure it's too slow to upgrade LOL

Actually, that's a custom ROM available for your phone. If you have the Optimus Elite anyways. But yeah, go to the main threads where it shows all the root threads for this device and look at the ROMs. 4.2.2 is great. And 4.4.2 latest version of android was just released through custom ROM the other day you can even try that.
