Root [ROM] IncDoes Sense

are you flashing via recovery or hboot? I always have flashed recovery via boot with the PB31IMG.zip file... you can get the pb file from here and put it on the root of you sd card and boot into hboot and it will automatically ask you to update

Okay so I rooted using unrevoked3, did (2) backups with nandroid, I have put the ROM on my SD card in the ROOT of the SD card, it is named IncDoes_SenseV0.4_Signed.

I have searched on how to install this and I am VERY confused. Do I just do the go into BOOT MENU (power and VOL-), recovery and then select the file above?

Yes, in recovery you have the option to select a file for installation. One thing: Your file does have a .zip filename extension, right?

Yes. Sorry left that out. :eek:

I am doing now. Once this works (fingers crossed) and I right to assume once I set up the way I like i can do another backup using nandroid and then be able to switch back and forth?

I know I should search better, but it really is overwhelming...
 
HMMM....I seem to be stuck at the HTC Splash screen. It made a "new sound" and then did a few minutes again. Seems to be stuck in a loop. Suggestions?
 
I do see that a wipe is required, but it did not give me that option. I am doing a recover, then try again? Man I hate this. I spent all day (at work -lol) trying to understand this more and well SCREWED.

How do I wipe before the install?

Oh, you did not wipe first? Option is in clockwork recovery for that. Just do that, then flash your rom.

WOW - Also this allows multiple exchange accounts, I have work and gmail set up both to PUSH!!!!!!!!!!
 
Yes goblue do both wipes! :D If your fully charged 100% go to "advanced" in recovery and "wipe battery stats" as well.

Boot into recovery (hold down volume button down then hold power button till on). Navigate to RECOVERY in green text using the vol down button then push power button to select. Give it 15 seconds. Navigate to "install zip from sdcard" with optical joystick and push. Navigate to your ROM .zip and follow prompt to install.

Give it a few minutes to complete sometimes more.

Let us know how you like it I'm curious on this ROM especially from a first timer!

I absolutely love it so far. Was a little laggy but I have been installing all my apps and the MAP thing for HTC. I am THRILLED, NO ECSTATIC!!!!!! that we can have (2) exchange account. I have not been able to get the landscape mode to work though. Looking at that next.

So far I LOVE IT.

Thanks for all the help. I have to jump on MW2 and play a few death matches with some buddies, but will be tinkering with while I am dead - LOL. I will be back on in an hour or so and wlyk more then.

I had that rom loaded and played with it awhile yesterday. I never could get the landscape mode to work either. It is pretty neat though. It needs to mature a bit imo, but it already has some very nice features.

I read your blog and truly enjoyed it. I almost went back to a blackberry storm 2 myself and then played with it at the Verizon store. I now am more in love with ny Incredible than ever.

Well, while I was playing more MW2 it did was doing some random boots. I can not get the MMS to work. I need to be able to receive pics. For now I have just gone back to regular Sense until a better build is out :( When it's ready for prime time it will be SWEET. I am glad I went through the process of rooting/installing a ROM though. Thanks for the links/help.

Glad you enjoyed. I need to put more time into the site. I get TONS of visitors and thinking of coming out with an E-Book, so everything is in one place.

Glad you enjoyed. I need to put more time into the site. I get TONS of visitors and thinking of coming out with an E-Book, so everything is in one place.

I just got to a strange level in MW2 that boosted all my stats and unlocked just about everything. Thinking about hitting the prestige button for the second time but I'm not so sure yet. I'd like to play with the new guns and attachments for a little bit. If you're down, I'd like to be added on steam: ARM Cortex A8

I really hope they polish this ROM up. It's so nice.

mms is fixed though (for goblue) although without a camera....

This ROM is making progress I wouldn't think it will be too long before there is a working cam
 
Still not as polished as I would hope. First thing i noticed was the Android news and power widget missing. Screen scrolling still a little stuttery.
