Root ROM installer

ladybugkg

Newbie
Do you all like any of the rom installers from the market? I'm new to all this and would rather have an app that installs the rom for me. Had trouble with rom Manager already.

Have you tried installing roms manually? There really isn't much to it and from what I have been told and read, it is much safer.... read the rooting for dummies guide under flashing roms and they have detailed instructions...

Manually is the best way to flash roms. Rom manager is way to buggy and had been known to create issues. Do everything manually. That way if there is a problem you will have some knowledge of your recovery. Plus out is a much better way of wiping data, cache, and dalvik cache.

I wasnt even aware there were rom installers other than rom manager, Ive always done it manually, usingn Ra 2.3 now, cw 2.6.0.1 before, started with cw 3.0.0.1.

I've used Rom installer also never had any problems, but I prefer to install my roms manually mainly because you learn more and it's easy as hell....just read as much as you can and you'll get the flow of things....(Im new also)

Installing things manually is not hard, I would recommend doing it through recovery because it is more reliable and less likely to cause problems.

You should also do it so you can understand the process, also it opens up for you to do more with your device!
