I'll probably be slowing these builds down to once a week or more, because I like the beanstalk builds more and will focus on those a little more, just though I would give you guys a heads up

actually disregard this, chameleon os people just released V0.8 beta and it looks really cool. beanstalk is to much clogged up with features i dont care for, chamos i like more now cause its more sleek and clean, so ill probably now focus on these builds instead of the beanstalk, so 0.8 beta is coming our way soon!

I just installed the rom and it randomly restarts and now it's just bootlooping.It freezes at the bootup screen then restarts.

Try taking the battery out 10 seconds the replace and restart and see what happens

Did you check the MD5? Might be a bad download. Could also try reflashing it. Did you do a full wipe?

Yeah I did a full wipe twice.I'll try again and when I get home

Oooooh, android 4.3 is already for the N7, CM 10.2 hopefully will come soon to our spectrum! But it will probably take some time anyways

Facebook keeps closing automatically finally got the ROM to work properly. Any suggestions?

Thanks,also tried GPS and it didn't want to seem to find my location.The older version of Chameleons the GPS worked fine,anyone having trouble with GPS or is it just me?Also is there a way to turn off the backlight on the hardkeys?

The same init.d script I had posted to disable button backlights (as it's own script) should work on pretty much any rom.

echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness

Basically, you just need to execute that command each boot... since I couldnt find a good way to keep it to persist between reboots. The 0 tells it to turn off, and a value between 1-255 (i believe) is supposed to set the variable brightness... But our phone is either on or off... so any value but 0 turns it back on.

Yeah, that's why I never worried about the facebook app crashing while testing kernels. It's a crappy app with next to zero error tolerance/handling.

I really like this "OS"! Apparently I'm just stupid enough to not figure out how to theme it though. When I download a theme and try to apply it I get an error saying, "File is not a theme". Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Does it have the .ctz extension name? And put it in the chamos folder in your root sdcard directory

The few I've downloaded have a .zip extension. Should I just change that to .ctz and move to the correct folder?

Well extract the ctz file that could be in the zip folder, if not then change it to .ctz

Clear cache and dalvik and clear the app data. If that doesn't help, then try and get a logcat of the crash. It's probably something app-side though.

well it built, but i screwed up and it didnt boot starting a new build hopefully will have it up by tonight

Hmmm, installed some updates, restarted my pc, booted it up and then at the Ubuntu loading screen the dots light up about halfway then minister goes black and won't turn back on....any one know a fix for this?
