Root [ROM][July14] Icy Fusion V5.0 | Smooth | Tweaked | Themed | Battery

Hi so I am a big fan of this rom use it on a daily basis and i was wondering how to update and if the problem with the aosp status bar was fixed :car:
Pls get back to me asap and I wanted to know when the approximated date for the cm10 based rom is :dalek: :car: :dalek: oh and i am on the ICY FUSION 2.0 FINAL, which obiously no longer is the final, thanks

Icy 2.5 is tons better than the previous version, but there are still caveats.

1: Curse of the multiple lock screens: There is a press button unlock that shows up as well as holo lock at times. This press unlock screen hangs, and you have to get round it by dragging down notifications and going to settings.
2: Curse of the multiple launchers: These launchers are nice, but I would strip down to one launcher and stick with it to prevent software conflicts
3: Color theme: Cool having a black theme, but the buttons need to be more "buttony"

That aside, only other bugs are ones that exist in stock rom as well, such as the slow charging warning blocking the debug mode unless you reboot with the usb cable inserted.

Also, gaming performance is fantastic.

Yeah I hate the lock screen thing I forgot to add the stock on back, and I'll slim it down to 2 launchers maybe 1 well see, and do you mean the inverted apps?

I kinda like the inverted apps. It offsets the white system theme pretty well. My spec is running like a champ with 2.5 and my kernel.

uploading version 2.7, and ortriggers kernel worked so thats in the update, and also im using my goo.im account, so you can easily download updates through their amazing app with ota notifications. and added some nice features under the hood

i added the stock one back, hopefully the stupid red button is gone, it didnt go away for me but it should for the rest of you guys

Here is a benchmark quadrant

I had it all the way over clocked and have gotten great battery life still and I had it at cfq and interactive

I dirty flashed and it still has the red button lock screen. I think it's from one of the xperia launchers. My wife is using my spec right now and had all her stuff set up with the lg home launcher so I'm flashing back for now. Good work though.

I just downloaded the latest update this morning. Lock screen is still broken.

I just rooted my phone last night after doing a TON of research and picked this rom because it seemed the most stable, fast and customization. I was right, the rom is great! The lock screen is literally the only problem I've had!

Edit: I've also noted a problem when I go into settings then home screen a message pops up saying "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped."

My wife told me that she had a couple soft reboots. She's at work though so I can't try to replicate and get a logcat.

this is most likely because the stock launcher has been removed and the home screen setting in the settings menu is only there for the stock ics launcher. It should actually be removed from the rom if the stock launcher is not there to avoid any confusion.

Note that I'm not running this rom, and never have, so forgive me if i'm mistaken. I just know I had run into this issue before while I still ran stock ics roms.

Fixed the lagging issue after reflashing the ROM. Battery life is awesome. I have been texting regularly since about 7:00 this morning and 11 hours later I am at 58%. This is why I love this ROM. Using Deadline and ondemand @ 1.5Ghz. The other thing that I have noticed which I recall being an old problem is that whenever I open Maps that the location cursor goes nuts and spins in all sorts or directions. Didn't have this issue on CM10 (only ROM I have been on since Icy Fusion for comparison).
Maybe look into using Go launcher as I have had success with that one before with a lot of customization possible there. Just a thought.

As far as the lockscreen issue. The red unlock button seems to get stuck for me as well but when I give it about 5 to 10 seconds it does eventually unlock. Also if you don't want to wait you can press the camera button next to the unlock button and hit home right away.

Will be updating to 2.7 and will do a clean wipe for best results :)

EDIT: Just saw I was post 1000 that's pretty cool :)
