Root [ROM][July14] Icy Fusion V5.0 | Smooth | Tweaked | Themed | Battery

updated op to version 3.3

here are some changes

Version 3.3 2/25/2013
-Updated google now
-Updated play store to 3.10.14 not inverted, no "keep shopping" window now
-Updated more themeing
-Updated supersu to v1.10
-Updated to thunderbolt tweaks
-Updated ortriggers kernel to latest alpha v2.0
-Added google play music plus v1.1 dark theme
-Added nexus 4 bootanimation, removed n7 one
-Added LMT Launcher V1.91
-Removed xenoamp
-Removed some other files
-Removed goo.im stuff, they had slow dl speed
-Might have fixed exchange not sure if i did or not
-Changelog now in root of your sdcard
-Other things i forgot?

Thanks azoller1 ! great work.
I was rooted and wanted to get this ROM. Unfortunately in process of doing that, I went to that Flashing LG firmware thread that you guys recommended and got my phone upgraded to ZV8!! Am I stuck now?

What process I shd. follow to get rooted, unlock bootloader and get this ROM. PLS> respond soon guys..thanks a lot.
 
no zv8 wasent a huge update, just root unlock bootloader and then flash this rom with a clean wipe and you should be good to go
 
I know there are multiple methods for root- but could you pls. point which one for root & unlocking bootloader, now that I got this stupid V8 update..dont want to push my luck too much as this is my primary device...thanks a bunch.

It's exactly the same as for v7.

Run the pwnage tool:
Get root.
Replace boot loader.
Install cwm
Reboot to cwm.
Flash away.
... win?

Hi azoller1 and you gurus-

per my last post..the same logo (fireworks merging in X) keeps spinning and nothing happening. I did all steps incl. bootloader unlocking as suggested and then flashing this ROM with all steps upto "disable flash recovery" and then rebooted my LG Spectrum...its just hung for last 50 mins or so, despite 2 battery pulls ad reboots.

I shd. say that I DO NOT have a nandroid backup. I didnt have much data in my phone as I lost my DROID X and got this spectrum to replace it. So while I dont need to recover any personal data (I can sync it later with outlook)...becasue this is my primary phone I really need to get this working on this ROM ASAP.

Waiting for you gurus to shout out....Pls. Help!!

Which version did you flash? 3.2 or 3.3? if it was 3.2, do a full wipe and flash 3.3. Are you able to put a different zip on your sd card without accessing it through your phone?
 
find the rom called Slimdroid here on the forums do a clean flash of that rom, then flash this rom right over it without wiping anything

Hi guys- as you both might have guessed, Im a noob...stuck badly now.

I did 3.3 version, latest from my friend Azoller..and its stuck in boot...I do have a micro SD reader so I can get that onto the SD card. But problem is how to boot into CWM now that its stuck in boot loop? Pls. respond. I'll be back from picking up my baby and then I'd like to get this done tonight itself..thanks a lot..if you couyld send me links to where I can find what to do..
 
pull out the battery put it back in, then hold the power button and volume down button until you see a warning screen, press power button twice it wont wipe anything, then your in cwm wipe flash slimdroid, boot up, go back to recovery then no wipe flash my rom
 
I'm sorry for being a noob but its constantly reminding me to do the OTA update. From what I read, I lose root access if I update. So what do I do? I'm on v3.3.

if you are on this rom and you take the ota then it will most likely brick your phone. Do not take it. There should be a way to get rid of that message but I'll let neph or some other more advanced user take that on. I'm not sure how to do it for this rom.
 
so i cabbed to the v8, and i was wondering if flashing this, or rather any ics based rom (although i think this is the only ics rom with ongoing development) will change anything having to do with the new update? basically im guesing that i no longer get the dumb "an update is available for your device" popups?
oh, no disrespect to any other roms being developed at the moment btw(:
 
A little googling and the only thing that I could find useful that might apply to this.

i don't have it installed, but just spent a little time looking through the zip. It looks like most of the typical apks that would be responsible for the ota are already gone.

However, if you rename system\etc\security\otacerts.zip to something else, otacerts.zip.bak perhaps. It may stop them. Of course, do a nandroid backup in CWM first...

You could also google for fotakill.apk I believe this is a fairly universal app to kill otas.
