Root [ROM][July14] Icy Fusion V5.0 | Smooth | Tweaked | Themed | Battery

I did fix permissions but still got hung on boot. I ended up flashing to slim droid v3 from ... that booted fine and then I was able to flash icy 3.2 without any issue... Do this could just be my phone or it could have something to do with coming from cm10.
But all is well now. Great job on the ROM guys!

I am currently on Broken Out Spectrum 3.0

Do I need to flash a .cab file found here ? "Flashing LG signed Firmware"

Do I need to unlock my bootloader ?

Or can I just flash this ROM?

Actually I think he could just flash the Rom and flash the v7 radio baseband. I know I flashed back to GB v4 and then back to v7 using CWM before and it worked fine. It was just showing me roaming on GB. But even then my radio still worked.

It may be best to use the cab but I was pointing out that I've done it without the cab with success.

after you flash the rom then go to reboot it asks you that then click disable

So I did all this. Flashed 3.2, the phone reboots, LG logo shows, then I see an "X" logo appear for a second then all I get is a black screen... i have let it sit for 20mins, reflash and the same.. help??

If that still doesn't work, you might want to try flashing my kernel separately after flashing the rom and then fixing permissions. Good luck and post back to let us know how it goes.

Got it working. Download Slimdroid ROM. Flashed it, booted, then went back into CWM "dirty flashed" Icy 3.2 over it and booted fine.

Now with 3.3 can I do the same "ditry flash" over 3.2? Maybe should hold off reinstalling my apps..

You should be fine dirty flashing over 3.2.

Alright so in 3.2 the exchange email is not working with stock app. I know that the standard ROM needs both the email.apk and exchange.apk to have it work. Exchange currently doesn't show up under email options to add as an account. Also, the black theming prevents me from seeing any text in popup prompts such as which scheduler and I/O to use in ROM Toolbox. Try adding an attachment in the stock messaging app and you get a blank list with icons as well.
I did try doing a fresh install of 3.2 and got hung at boot again. Could it be because the kernel is being flashed after the ROM is installed? What if you switch the order of both could that help?
