Oh...I was talking about the wrong thing >_< yea tts is another app that may need updating. Coincidentally, of you want to update THAT mnually its com.google.tts Derp. I should just keep the originals in, or grab the latest apks online and add them. Taking the ones updated from the Play Store doesnt help (unless you grab them and have to reinstall the rom for whatever reason then you can update them manually that way too.)
You'd think since they were just from the play store itself they would just work. Apparently not :-/
 
Hey dragonhart6505, on the next update can you set the CPU scale down aways, maybe to stock frequency. Then we can change the frequency to max if we want. The problem I'm having is the overclocked kernel. I can't even flash the rom at all without a lot of screen tearing and hundreds of reboots. I have a feeling it's that kernel being maxed out. Idk why but I can't use the rom on my phone. I'm not complaining, I love the rom! I think my phone just won't agree with that kernel for some reason.

It may very well be the max clocks, but I have no control over the default settings until I'm able to pick apart the kernel myself. I didnt build it, rbheromax and cooldudezach did (from the stock kernel I might add) and they are working on getting that fixed, as well as having both cores active by default.
I will post an alternative kernel, but be warned! Not all Awe phones agree with it! Mine seems to have no issues with either kernel but again...every device is different.
To 'maybe' fix the tearing, disable HW overlays in developer options.
 
K thanks man. No doubt I'll be on your rom soon enough. I especially like what I see so far. I just wish my phone and that kernel didn't hate each other so much lol.

theming can be done with xposed, but im not sure about porting something like Theme Engine over if thats what your talking about

although i have been delving further and further into the guts of the system, so maybe at some point i can actually come up with a few
 
Once this ROM is stable for the majority of users I'll do a gradient status bar and KitKat theme to include flip animations and 4.2 quick settings panel. You can click on my profile to see my work on the Optimus Elite.
 
That would be Awesome starkraving ! This is getting more exciting bye the day! Also drangongart6505 not really a theme engine thats kind Difficult but like a theme mod
 
Iv tryed cidia with winter board it was really buggy I wouldnt get all the accents and fc a lot I'll try xposed module tho and c how well it works

Ive used the exposed framework to theme quite a bit of stuff like the transparent status bar and colors and other stuff. Apex also has settings like transparent app drawer and free themes, mostly why I included it aside from that its a hell of a lot lighter than the default launcher

Integrating the theme engine is a massive undertaking which is why you only see it in source built Roms or CM based Roms.
 
Ok iv installed exposed installer and it works great .it has a lot of options like hk theme installer iv tested it cm theme and it worked awesome
 
I think that hk theme manager is better than theme choose ever t mobile theme choose its just I thought if the from had something like that pre installed itll be easier to use than down loading a bunch of third party apps

The home launcher themes are ok if you like to theme your icons and wall papers but theme your notification icons needs something a bit more and a Lil more digging still this rom rocks tho you guys did a good job and this is the beginning can't wait for updates

Does it theme the clock and signal bars in the noti bar too?
 
Depends on the theme the cm theme I downloaded did it also change the icons in the setting menu also the loading menu but it didnt change my actual icons like the phone icon but the cm theme was the free version too ..but you got to remember its a third party app so it has limitations
