Trickstermod works perfectly fine without donate.
-disable MP-Decision
-Set cpu clocks to 1836000/ondemand
-sd readahead 2048/noop
-gpu on performance

theres very little you CANT do with the free version

I don't know maybe you want to tell people that they can flash the Rom with Philz if they just use the "allow use of old update.bi" option in recovery. I'm just curious, where is it getting the update.binary if it's not using the one from your Rom?

from the rom...?
udate.binary has to be there, but updater-script is what controls the installation.

The issue is that newer CWM (this includes philz, it's based off of cwm) are based off of kitkat source code. Kitkat completely changed how the update-binary commands work, so until we start switching over to the newer syntax, you just have to uncheck that option. His update-binary is fine, just old lol

Ummm, not to be rude, but I have no clue what you're talking about. I've already been informed by these guys as to what I was inquiring about THIS Rom. By all means thanks for updating your Rom, I'll have to go test it out 😏:)

No offense taken lol sorry i was a little vague. I just ment that i updated my binary and that theres nothing wrong with dragons binary its just older version

Other thread says closed now? I haven't noticed any stability problems, everything is running nicely including the overclock. No random reboots. Only thing I notice so far like I said is an issue with setting apps default. Great work! Now onto KitKat CyanogenMod! :D
 
I have another request that is not important in any way imaginable...but throughout my android use, I've sometimes noticed that it's good to keep the stock Android browser for compatibility issues such as signing into Wi-Fi networks and downloading from certain places. I don't know I usually always have like 3 different internet browsers anyhow.

i understand that. ill think it over. personally i think having Chrome browser works fine. i guess its an aquired taste
 
Hey guys. I have a prob and was wondering if any of you might be able to help me. I flashed this ROM and all went well but I had a problem when installing files from back up in Titanium backup. When I installed the gallery and camera apk, the gallery wouldn't load from camera nor was it showing up in my drawers apps. I tried flashing another stock gallery and camera app and now I get an error that says 'cannot connect to camera' when trying to launch the camera and gallery isn't on my device. I tried downloading a few other camera apps from the playstore and I still have the same problem. I think it was a permissions issue and I installed it wrong but I am pretty stuck on what I should do at this point except flash back to stock. Sad thing is, this is my daughters phone and I was hoping to surprise her with a better running device. Well she is going to want to kill me especially seeing I had an issue backing up her Minecraft files and now all of her worlds are gone. Please help with the camera and gallery apps if you can. I know gallery is a system app and I think when I installed it from within the Titanium back up app that this is where I went wrong. :(Thanks

Camera and gallery apps are included in rom. Not sure y u tried reinstalling. As far as downloaded apps all you halve to do is restore data in titanium.

For some reason I had the camera and gallery apps backed up and installed them over the existing without realizing it. I went and uninstalled the apps with root app delete and really screwed it up now. And when I tried reinstalling I did it from a zip in CWM which is why I believe I am now getting the error. Is reflashing the Rom my only option? I mean hopefully it will fix the issue. It seems I deleted system files. :confused: Ah nevermind, I will just reflash it. Thanks

Yes just reflash rom, dont forget to wipe data and format system, then just restore the apps and data u want from titanium :D
 
[dragon] I don't know if this has anything to do with me switching CPU/Kernel controlling apps, but it seems that CPU1(the second CPU) is defaulting to max at1.8xxGhz and settings won't stick or control that CPU in any app I use, it just always goes back to running full force.

You need to use Trickstermod and disable MP Decision (fourth page) to enable the second core always online. It will then tie that cores speed to whatever you set on page three, or the speed of cpu0. Yes this is a kernel issue but it works

Alright, thanks. I just noticed that 3 other CPU apps I used, would tell me that the second core would always go back to Max and Trickster would tell me they were both set where I wanted them... So I didn't know if it was just an app error with Trickster or the other apps just weren't working properly with our phone. Anyhow, okay I'll stick with that one.
 
Anyone else use pimp my Rom successfully with this Rom? I noticed substantial performance increases with a lot of the settings, but it won't create a recovery package and init.d won't work and as usual the kernel settings conflict with TricksterMod (the only app I know to properly control both cores). Any success without kernel conflicts guys?
