Root [ROM/Kernel] Stock++

Im trying to get my head around titanium backup, what kind of backup should I do so I can then restore ALL the apps that I have on my current phone without having to start completely over?

Well I DE-BLOATED it myself! Lol. It runs very smoothly. (Plus I turn all my animations off so it runs like water) I only ran into 1 issue, I couldn't update my su binary. Some manifest crap kept failing. Other than that, all good :)

I have tried installing this several times and every time it keeps freezing up and I have to force restart it, it freezes after say 5 to 10 seconds after booting in android.

Im trying to restore my nandroid backup and its says error while formatting /system.

maybe Im not installing the first part right?

how are you guys flashing the kernel and cwm? can you give me some steps please

So, should I flash this without formatting anything or should I format, flash this, and then flash your CM7? Could I also format and then restore a backup after flashing this?

If you create a backup with my recovery, you can restore it with my recovery. If you make a backup with the old (non-ext4) recovery, you have to restore it with the old recovery. And why exactly are you wanting to flash this before flashing CM7? CM7 is CM7. This is stock.

When I try to click root in es file explorer it gives me an error of test failed and won't let me give it root permission so I can de bloat, and when I power off, It auto restarts, otherwise, I'm happy as a clam lol

What can I use to debloat the nonsense?

YESSSS EXCELLENT WORK CAPTAIN !!!!!
@the Guy with the such error, try to Google a flashable SU zip. does it allow you to have root access?Yes? let it be. No? look for a flashable such .zip to flash in req's recovery.

Su and Superuser (and Titanium Backup, and setcpu, etc, etc) all work fine with root for me. Su and busybox are taken from CM7, so no idea why there's any issue. The filesystem isn't even mounted as read only.

My fault I should've been a bit more specific.. SU works fine, as does TiBu and everything else.. Es file explorer is what I usually use to remove system apps n bloatware.. But when I enable root directory in its settings menu, I get some crazy error I've never gotten from it before and it cancels out SU's permissions for file explorer.. Its the only app I know how to delete system apps with, so I'm stuck with a bunch of bloatware.. Other than that, everything is operating as it should.. Besides qpst still giving me headaches..

That happened to me with CM7. try Su Update Fixer and it should sent you to a site to flash zips in recovery

I got excited about it and didn't read carefully enough. This is good, I needed a stock rom other than my wifes untouched Admire. Speaking of her phone, could anyone use a stock rom like hers for anything? I haven't even rooted it...yet

Also, what is the best program to use to remove bloatware?

Su update fix says every things fine.. Its got nothing to do with superuser, it updated all on its own and works fine with everything else.. Somehow Its something with es file explorer not allowing itself access to root files.. the tibu restore and a new download from estrongs inc. both with the same problem.. I want to abandon this and try something else, but I don't know what else will let me remove system apps..
