Root [ROM/Kernel] Stock++

before you flash gapps tho i think you have to unmount system, butim not sure i never had issues with market.
did you have cm7 beta on your phone also?

Just like the instructions say, you have to MOUNT /system before flashing GApps. The GApps file doesn't properly mount the system on its own, I believe req0 said this on the CM7.2 thread.

it does say select mount system in other thread. i told him i wasnt sure. i didtn have to do any of that for this rom.

hey, any reason when i try to flash a theme to this it doesnt work? i have one in the works but whenever i flash it nothing happens? i dont get it. its your framework and systemui im using it should flash.....

edit. i just read about the mounting system and all that. i will try that. I missed that post sorry
 
Hey Req thanks for everything, I've tried your cm7 and this and they're great. Just wondering if you plan on adding 1ghz in the future and maybe even higher?
 
ok i need a little help so I can release this theme. all the framework images show up when i flash but none of the systemui images show up. i mount system data cache and sdcard when i flash. am i missing something here?

Each CPU is unique. Some can be OC more than others, some not at all. There's no way anyone can make a definite statement like that as his CPU has different capabilities then yours does which is different than mine. With tweaks to the kernel I think its very easy to see 1 ghz + on some phones
 
ok so ive been trying this for hours. i was on stock++ i tried to flash monster 4 over it once doing so i got a whole bunch of errors long story short had to do an odin return to stock. now i have stupid yellow triangle which isnt so bad but anytime i try to flash back to stock++ i get an installation aborted message but the worst of it is now when i flash monster 4 i reboot the phone and it gets stuck on the small android screen for cwm and never boots..... seems like i keep having to use odin return to stock and im frustrating myself if someone can pm me and help me out it would be much appreciated. i just wanna have monster 4 with an oc..... too much to ask??????

I feel your pain!!!! i have a theme pretty much ready to post but only half of it will load. the systemui part of the theme does not flash it sucks!! lol im about to brick my phone on purpose by chucking straight out my window with a hearty belly laugh as it smashes into the ground!!

on top of it my son has a baseball game in a few mins so im going to go with a phone that half ass works. im thinking when i go to flash im wiping something wrong or formatting or mounting im at a loss.

I agree that some cpu's may not be able to handle it just like some are saying that they can't handle 900mhz but I'd like to try. This is actually for my sons phone I've got a thunderbolt with a kernel that can go to 1.9ghz but by default it's set at 1ghz. Mine can't go higher than 1.4 but some people can only get to 1.2 and some can get all the way up to 1.9. I don't know if the admire's processor has that kind of variation though.

yeah everything flashes except systemui which is located in system so it seems like when i mount system and flash it then it should theme.. nobody knows why this is happening? i have a pretty impressive theme here lol if i can get it to work

Tell.us what files you using odin.

That's exactly what I worked out was happening with me. framework-res.apk will flash just fine but it's like something is blocking SystemUI.apk from flashing.
Rather than wasting time trying to sort it out, I just wanted to go back to stock and wait for CM7.2 which then started with all of those "can't mount cache" errors.

Excellent ROM, it just seems it's fighting tooth and nail at every step that tries to change something on it or revert back to stock.

I think I got a lucky admire cuz ive been had my phone,runing 900/900 and it hasnt rebooted are froze are even lag once :)

Im using the files from the odin return to stock thread I get it back to stock but then when I try to go back to stock ++ is tells me installation aborted.I've done it before I went from stock to beast to monster 4 then stock ++ but did something wrong when trying stock++ to monster 4

i got it to work just did everything i did the 1st time stock to beast to monster to stock++ to monster 4 all works good even market just dumb yellow triangle now

hm dont know. I guess run stock++ with out monster4 . Manipulate your cpu with an overclock app. Report any bugs or crashes.
