Root [ROM]Leaked Stock 2.2 with Sense [EVERYTHING WORKS!!]

got a 1,314 in Quadrant and am getting anywhere from 37-41 in linpack.

where do these leaks come from? i mean who leaked it? who was the source?

Anyone know how to remove the stupid Verizon fake CD thing that pops up when you plug your phone in to your computer?

Also, in case nobody responded (and I don't want to look), the current version of the undervolted Hydra kernels work just fine for me (v03).

Edit: I may have spoken too soon about Hydra. After installing it, I can no longer connect to any GPS satellites OR use google's location services. I'll reboot and see if it changes. If not, I'll nandroid back and see if that fixes it (it better. :P).

Yup. Hydra breaks GPS and causes some issues with the SD Card.

Aaand it also seems to cause WiFi to fail to start up.

uh oh, i think i butchered my phone.

i did the stock install and did the update.zip.
and after the update.zip it asked if i wanted to reboot, so i did.
now all i get is the HTC Incredible boot screen.
and i cant get recovery now :*(

First, my baseband is something like C_1.... not even close to either of those. Are you sure this isn't for the Incredible or EVO given you have instructions using the Unrevoked root exploit? Something's fishy here....

I'm going to assume you installed this over an Unrooted Stock phone (whether you were rooted before or not doesn't matter, you had to get back to being unrooted).

If so, the update applied, and you're in the bootloop some people get. Take out the battery, put it back in and reboot. It should show the HTC bootscreens and back into stock 2.1 w/ the new radio.

This is such a noob question but how do "leaked" things like this come about? Everyone trusts in them and I've never rooted so I'm totally unclear on why this and that.
What is the history of this word "leaked" mean for the community who hasn't rooted?

Again sorry if that's very noob or I've mucked up the thread in any way.

I'm not a rocket scientist, but considering this was posted in the Droid "Incredible" forum, I'd say that it is not meant to work on the Droid or the Milestone. Just a hunch.

An HTC or verizon employee feels generous, gives it to a friend, who sends it to an anonymous account and then uploads it and spreads it around. :)

We have to wait for the .32 kernels to come out for Hydra. Otherwise GPS/Camcorder probably won't work, since the current hydra kernels are older than the one we are using here.

well if its leaked then i am going to assume the real thing is right around the corner.(even thought its prolly not) if its not here by the 6th ill do this that way others can blaze a trail if there are problems. ill need my HD recording for the mayhem festival the 7th

The official update could very well close root access though, which is why leaks, for me at least, are preferable, unless there's a big difference, which there very rarely is.

No need to get snarky. This was originally posted in the Droid forum. Mods must have moved it.

downloading right now and going to install, my baseband is 2.05...

Just a simple question, how about flash player? :-D

Here is the thread on XDA where it first dropped I believe and there is over 50 pages of questions and answers already. Some is rambling but others are useful.

Flash is built in from what I've read and other then a couple apps not showing up in the 2.2 market everything is running perfect.

One more time: If this was really the official leaked OTA rom, non-rooted Inc's should be able to install with no concerns at all and only a need to manual install without any rooting process.

Not adding up.

Update: OK, this a rooted rom, so where is the official rom as well? Had to have one to augment and make this version. Why not release both versions like what normally happens when an OTA is "leaked"? Then the non-rooters could just do a quick manual install and not need to wipe their data.

I will wait for the official and not deal with the wipe and having to install 500mb worth of apps again.

Can anyone who has installed this confirm if Sence on 2.2 works in landscape. I love Sence but hate that current you don't get landscape support when using a dock.

i installed and everything is awesome so far! One little thing though google sky map wont install....i can live without it but any help would be great

EDIT: im actually having a few apps having trouble in the market...i remember seeing a market fix for the OTA, will that one work for this rom?

Try restoring Google Sky Maps from a backup. You do have a backup right? ;)

Mine, restored from MyBackup Pro works perfectly. In fact, all apps I restored from MyBackup Pro or Titanium Backup work flawlessly.
