Root [ROM]Liquid Gingerbread v2.6 Release

Organizational note: I deleted some posts that were about other roms for organizational purposes. If you like miui or any other rom better, put that in the rom's thread, unless it adds to the conversation about this rom. No discipline. No punishment. No scolding, this is purely an organizational move. Carry on. :p

Lemme tell you something - this is one smooth ROM. As long as the data issues don't creep back into play, I don't see any reason to leave. It's amazing how fluid this ROM is.

This is prob my favorite ROM so far :)
If battery life does well then I will be VERY happy :)

One issue though....
When I go into Liquid settings and change the Boot Amimation, it doesnt seem to stick. It is still that stock "well/water" animation. I have tried many to no avail....and ideas?

I don't like any of the "stock" ones so I always find my own, put it on my sd card and drop them into system/media. Just rename the one in there to bootanimation.zip.bak and the new one to bootanimation.zip. Works every time.

I wish someone would pull all of this stupid LED notification crap out of CM7.

It's kind of a half-assed implementation since it doesn't cover all scenarios and isn't very flexible, not to mention its control of the LED doesn't seem to be the best (the LED blink rate is funky).

LightFlow is far better, but because of this OS-level notification implementation which can't be turned off, LightFlow is broken.

It seems like such an odd little piece of functionality. So much of the other CM7 functionality is fully fleshed out, nicely implemented, and this little piece seems to be stapled onto the side of it.

This ROM is nice, except for that. Oh, and probably the ugliest boot screen ever.

Agreed but you can change that in the Liquid Settings man. ;)

Having nothing better to do today, I loaded this ROM up this morning. Have to say its been pretty damn smooth thus far. Lots of customization settings, probably 2nd to MIUI. BWC theme works as well! I havent tested out every feature but so far there is nothing im going to get bent about.

I have no idea what the Rom dev's did but the battery life is vastly improved over
2.4. (2.5 doesn't count)

None of my apps recovered in the market. I restored via TB but none of the market links made it. Anyone have any suggestions? It's been a full 24 hours

I love this rom...IMHO its very well built.
Fast, fairly stable, and easy to use (for me). lol
Everything Ive used on a normal day has worked so far :)
Im at 12 hrs and 13 min on the batt with 10%....no bad for 2nit...I think it will improve tomorrow

Do it, Steven! You won't regret it! No, you probably will but at least you can say you tried! :p

I already tried 2nd init roms. I'm just comfortable with what I have. I'm getting lazy. I'm looking at dual core (fast) phones. My son has a d3 and it zips along.

Noone on this? This is the 2nd time in my last two flashes this has happened. I tried OMFGB and the same thing. Anyone? Bueller? :D

I flashed the file and signed in and set the phone down for 5 minutes. When I returned all my apps were installed. Did you uncheck the box to allow it to restore your apps? I dont even bother with backups anymore since it takes care of my apps automatically. I do loose the text messages but all of my text stuff is idle chat garbage anyway.

I never uncheck anything. Just sign in. I think the mistake I may be making is not letting the phone settle in? I just start messing with it immediately. Maybe I'll wipe data and cache and try that tonight. Will report back. Thanks for the insight
