Just a heads up for anyone who's going to use a2sd, after typing su and typing a2sd install, say yes to the first question and no to the second question, just fyi;) then yes to reboot:beer:

For the second question, just making sure, say no to running data from sd-ext correct?
Edit: what issues will this cause by saying yes?

Not sure but papa himself said he said yes to everything. You could always undo it if something weird happens.

This is definitely the fastest ICS ROM I have tried. But I've also had four hard freezes that required battery pulls.

Give it plenty of time to boot. It will sit on the splash page for like 5 minutes

I've ran into freezes as well. Nice rom, not for me. I'm in love with cm 10. Even though so much is still under development. Haha

He said it takes a while to boot and that is true. But I had the freeze too and had to get on with things so I left it too.

Other than having a rooted EVO 4g there are no special requirements. This rom doesn't suggest a partitioned card, but I would suggest that with a class 10 card or better. ALWAYS thoroughly read the thread that goes with each rom before flashing. The instructions for this rom are pasted below, but please read and understand all the rom instructions before flashing to save any grief later.

1. Download Rom
2. Boot into recovery
3. Wipe system, boot, and cache
4. Flash Rom
5. Reboot
6. Splash screen will Take a very long time...sometimes 3 to 5 min
7. Log into Google
8. Open Up Super SU and let it update binary if promted
8. See a2sd section
9. See batterybar section

Thank you. So i don't have to have S-off or anything special like that? What about the recovery it doesn't matter correct?

You said this is for a friend.....what's the history of this phone...did you root it and if so what method did you use......did you install a recovery and what kind

If you're unsure of this info can you post the h-boot information so we can gain a better understanding of what you have to work with.

I followed the directions in the how to root for dummies or whatever and i just rooted it and installed the recovery that was recommended. The hoot that the phone has currently is 2.18.0001. I'm about to install the recovery SMELKUSMOD recovery onto the phone soon.

Smelkus is the current recommended so that'll be fine, and if you flash a recovery without any problems then flashing the ROM'll be fine as well

I'd install that recovery first and then flash the rom

Thank you for all of the help!!

After using Strike as a daily for a month or so I thought I'd give Papa's new work a try. There were a few issues with this before getting to the latest 2.0.3, but this is a very sweet rom. I've had to let a few things settle in, but I'm impressed with the speed and look at this point. If you're looking for a ICS rom give this one a try you might have a daily on your hands You should be aware though the the first time thru the splash screen will take about 5 minutes and the animation 10 or so.
