Root ROM Manager

Is anyone else getting updates for ROM Manager daily? That's getting so frustrating. Some days I'm getting it a couple of times per day.

Do you not want access to the latest ROMs? I thought that the ROMs were stored in a database, but it seems that ROM Manager is updated whenever a ROM update is released.

So much so that I uninstalled it! I always flash things through CWM manually anyways, guess I'm old school ;)

I believe I saw that some of the updates were for gingerbread compatible recoveries. The updates do not coincide with new roms, it just pulls the list from a manifest whenever it's launched.

I'm the same way. One thing about Virtuous that REALLY pissed me off is that the author put ROMManager in and made it so that you can't uninstall it. So what I do is strip Virtuous before I install it.

I've got 3.2.0 installed sans ROMManager, QuickOffice, and DSPManager. Gave me an extra 4-5MB of internal storage, and no daily updates for an app I don't use.

Isn't there a feature in Rom Manager's preferences that allows you to turn OFF the update feature? I'm pretty sure that I turned it off on mine, since it never nags me about things like that.
