Root Rom manager

Is there a way to get Rom manager to work with other recoveries? I use amon RA because for one reason or another cwm doesn't work right on my evo.

Doesn't rom manager give you the option to use amon ra 2.3 as an alternate recovery? Scroll to the bottom of the menu and you can flash alternate recovery, no?

yes, but it will give a warning that you can't use rom manager to flash roms when you select the alternate recovery option. it is an easier way to flash amon ra or even clockwork mod to the phone.

and to the op, do not use rom manager like everyone has said. do everything manually in recovery. use it at your own risk. i have seen many threads started because their phone was not working due to the fact that rom manager does not wipe well. so use it at your own risk.

Oki doke. I haven't used it in ages, I'd forgotten how it works! :what:
Probably my biggest waste of money was buying the pro version of it back when I first rooted!


As everyone else says manual is best :p
 
well i never really have used it :D just though it might be easier or more convenient. thanks guys.

I wouldn't even use it to flash a different recovery as amon ra 2.3 is old and out dated, downloading roms possibly

Definitely old and outdated but still 100% as far as being functional. Just missing some of the bells and whistles of smelkusmod recovery.

Well, if you go by that logic, why are upgrading to a new phone then? The Evo is still 100% functional, it just doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer phones:)
