I have been having lots of random crashes and reboots the last few updates. Also whether stock or with the 2.1 kernal I cannot seem to adjust the cpu speed so it is running full bore. Am I missing something?

Same here my phone just goes black and won't turn on till I plug in the charger then it reboots. It started 2 updates ago before that was perfect

About 2 days after the last update I started getting really bad service in areas I used to get good service. Has anybody else had this happen?

PLEASE HELP!!!! after the past update many things been acting up the one that I just can't have is not being able to buy apps I can download app that were already purchased but just can't buy anything. I tried cleaning the cache even cleaned the data for the play store. I just keep getting error message that says to sign into the wallet app which I already did. Please any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I have had to go online a few times and download the playstore app and reinstall it to get it to work.

For me navigation glitches out every time I use it and the messaging app freezes if the battery gets low...

Try to also clear data for Google Play Services, see if that helps.

try wiping dalvik cache and cache and see if that helps......or maybe you can try and re-flash the rom as well.

I have had the issue since the later 2.8 versions so there has been plenty of wiping and flashing :D

Man that sounds dirty :ciao:

what kernel are you using? are you using setcpu? what are your settings? and when you say the nav glitches, does that mean it freezes up? or do you get errors or fc's?

Screen freezes and either nav crashes or still works in the background even though the screen itself is frozen. (voice still tells me directions) The message app the keyboard will lock up and it will take a reboot to get it working right again.

I am on whatever the kernel it is that comes with meanrom and I have setcpu and it will not let me change the settings at all. (I have the dials set to 1242/486 but it stays set at 1512/384) Is there a better kernel to use?

ok well it comes with the only jb kernel out at the moment so i think you should be fine with that. do you have any profiles set up in setcpu? do you have the setting "set on boot"? if your phone is stable at whatever it is set make sure the "set on boot" is checked off that way it will stay like that. otherwise when you reboot it will reset itself.

i have not tried the latest meanbean so i can't comment on this issue you are having. have you tried a re-flash of the rom with a full wipe first?

I was gonna full wipe tomorrow since I have the day off. I will report back :)

fyi set on boot is not set and the only profile I have is a late night one to lower the cpu while I sleep.

Mikey has MnBn3 up.

Dirty flashed it over 2.83 and wow... it is smooth!

Fwiw, got a >6.8k quadrant too...

I have it running like he set it up, think stock is oc'd to 1.7k something. Set to performance. He is using the new kernel with some Elemental mods and using the Intellidemand governor if I understood what I read correctly...

All of these roms are just amazing though! I can't figure out which one I should be running! :p

I'm running MB 3.01. Ive been running MB since version .3. I believe v3.0 was based off 3.16. My device shows 3.16.......

the issue is folks who have a deivce that has the latest 3.16 ota and they the unlocked the bootloader. the latest twrp is having issues and we believe that it is a kernel issue and prevents those phones from flashing certain roms. so far they can't flash aosp roms and can only flash JB sense roms which is what we pretty much have now.

You think its something Sprint is doing to hold us rebels down? :)

no this is not a sprint thing. with each ota it always get harder and harder to root and do things root related(sometimes). actually this is a good thing for the common user and a bad thing for us root users.

for the typical user who does not care about rooting this is good because any previous known exploits are closed and it makes the device harder to hack. unfortunately, the same(but not always) root exploit that hackers use is the same that we use to gain root(or at least the potential that hacker can use).

it was the same thing for the og evo. it used to be with that device you download an app on the phone and run it and boom you are rooted. now you have some crazy methods dealing with commands and such that is very similar to what we have now with our phone.

but i think the issue now is that we do not have source code from htc for the latest kernel. it is the kernel that i believe is causing the issue.
