Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

If No-Frills CPU is to blame, it hasn't effected me yet (running the xondemand profile, 1.566GHz max). I have two voip apps running constantly (sipdroid and grooveip) and wifi never sleeps, so there is a low level, but constant demand being placed on the phone.

I also installed google voice and the search widget. Google voice thru the search widget seems to work flawlessly on 1.1.9. I pushed it pretty hard with a dozen requests in a row, which would have hung it in 1.1.6. But.... google voice thru the capacitive search button is wonky, maybe I missed something.

Besides the wifi reconnection issue (don't know yet if it's still an issue with wifi never sleeping now), I'm finding a minor bug with the installed task manager reporting zero memory usage for every app so far except for settings.

Again, it works great for me only through the search widget. It took some experimentation, but I was able to get it working fairly easily.

First I downloaded and installed the Google Now zip from this thread-> http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-all-things-root/574566-mod-jelly-bean-voice-assistant-google-now.html I then used the app Root Explorer to go to the /system/app folder where I deleted the file GoogleQuickSearchbox.apk (you can rename to GoogleQuickSearchbox.bak instead). When it still wasn't working I re-installed the Google Now zip and put the search widget on the home screen. The first time it will take you through the Google Now setup.

You probably could eliminate the first step and rename/delete the GoogleQuickSearchbox.apk file then install Google Now, but theres no way I can confirm it.

Do I just flash the file to the root of the sd card then??
 
1.1.9 seems to be working very well with my phone... had a lot of reboots with 1.1.7 . None yet to speak of. Running pretty much as flashed. Did a FULL system wide wipe [except SD]. Installed apps [APPS ONLY, NO DATA] thru Titanium. Great ROM thus far! SwipetoSleep works on Lockscreen only in my findings... no big deal tho... would like to disable Swipeto completely... is that possible? I like my power button just fine. :)

Wifi reconnects fine... haven't used Tether yet tho....

All Anthrax kernels after 8/7 (somewhere around version 3.0.2?) have WiMax 4g working without needing reboot.

So yes, current 3.1.7 kernel has 4g working.

Re: s-on / s-off... if you use 4ext you can be s-on with smartflash, if no 4ext then follow the fastboot method. definitely works with s-off.

I know Anthrax has a 3.0.x & 3.1.x line going; but not a 1.1.x?

has anyone tried using ##775# on this rom? its a code for updating your prl it usually works on other sense based roms but i cant seem to get it to work here, has anyone else tried this code?

Have you disabled any HTC apps from starting? I remember this happening to me a while back.
