Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

I've just completed a dirty update to 1.2.0 and now WiFi won't turn on.. LeeDroid Quick Settings for WiFi says Error, the standard settings screen just sits at "turning on..."

Anyone else experiencing this? Any quick fix?

You still wiped cache and dalvik right?

I am running the version before this current release. I tried the default CPU settings. I even deleted No frills and had some luck for a while. It seemed ok. but then .. wham .. random reboots , sluggish.. I am gonna flash the latest version. I am hoping its straight now. I love this Rom. oh btw. I dont see beats audio anywhere here on this rom. Not in app drawer not in audio settings or anything. In mobsters ROM it is there at the status bar. and a APP to fine tune it.?

I think there is a mod floating around on xda for the beats audio, it adds the settings for beats, but that's only for the head phones and blue tooth if that's what you mean by the fine tunning. As for the random reboots, and the sluggish feel, it might be from the fact that every phone is different as far as the processor goes. I.e. My phone might run better clocked at a certain speed -vs- your phone so, that could be the issue or the kernel possibly. I would mess with clock speeds and see if that might help. Also maybe a rogue app is using up resources and could be causing the lagging. I use setcpu which you can buy on the market which is what I did or you can get the free version from xda. ;)

Here is the mod. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1717113

If you are worried about the data for the app and etc. use Titanium backup and back them up do a complete whip and reflash the rom once you have whipped everything for a fresh install and just re-install Titanium backup and restore your apps and data. Very simple.:)

Yes, I did.

Simple, yet somewhat time consuming.

Thanks, I guess this is what I'll have to do.

this rom is an excellent rom, i started using this rom on 1.1.9 i was having those random reboots and freezing but when i upgraded to 1.2.0 it all went away im pretty sure it was just a bad kernel build :D

After 1.19 turning my phone into a slow, laggy, battery-eating machine, I downgraded to 1.16 and had the same problems. Guess this rom doesn't like my Evo.

Is there any chance somebody could mirror this? goo.im has to be the worst place to host a file in the history of hosting files. 12 hour estimated download time, and it keeps starting and stopping.

It's always like that it seems.

Its true. I don't understand. Not trying to be a prick. Dropbox is way quicker. But the long download time is worth it. This ROM is sick. The new update solved all my issues. Great work . midnight Rom is legit

That's great to hear. But until goo gets their servers/bandwidth upgraded and becomes something resembling reliably usable, it would be great to have a mediafire or other mirror.

The server is working fine for me this morning. Uploading to mediafire and will provide a mirror soon. I get like 40 mbs down and 20 up so won't take long.;)

Back up to 4300+ on Quadrant, 7400+ on AnTuTu, 55+ single/93+ multi-thread MFLOPS on Linpack, (after adding tweaks to the build.prop and flashing a few enhancement tweaks) 1.728/performance/sio. Me likey. No issues so far. We'll see how battery life is today.

Upload to Dropbox finished first so here is a mirror. https://www.dropbox.com/s/u3h3c5h2zfxwcgi/MidnightRom120.zip ;)

i dont think that my quote is going to work but thats ok

thanks for the mirror i dont know why but goo.im been slow as dirt of lately

also great rom i finally registered to comment on it

love the rom but one request dspmanager does not work at all
also beats is a lil messed up makes my ear phones have a popping sound

beats worked great in ultramatrix

is there any way that you can maybe take out the dspmanager as its not working and maybe use what ever mod ultramatrix is using for the sound add-ins

has doldbe mobile srs surround and beats manager and eq presets

other then that great rom i think its the best around

1.2.0 is working great so far, no issues flashing doing the full wipe (reset). I've noticed two issues which were present in 1.1.9- all minor and unlikely within xthedakmanx's control.

1) Reconnect to wifi issue- solved by never turning off wifi during sleep, which is what I need for my voip apps. It might be the case where wifi is a little slow to wake up after sleeping, but that behavior breaks voip over wifi.

2) Minor issue with the included task manager. Seems to work fine, but memory usage is reported as zero for every app I've used except for settings.

Google Now works perfectly through the search widget, still wonky using the capacitive search button. Another great release, thanks!

I love google now. Its awesome. And yes the audio works. You just have to make sure your media volume is up.. otherwise you can't hear the voice. Its cool.
