1.2.0 is not working that good on the service and the settings I lost the 4g in the settings and I'm getting evdo on my service

Back up to 4300+ on Quadrant, 7400+ on AnTuTu, 55+ single/93+ multi-thread MFLOPS on Linpack, (after adding tweaks to the build.prop and flashing a few enhancement tweaks) 1.728/performance/sio. Me likey. No issues so far. We'll see how battery life is today.

What tweaks you add

Im still having evdo and I'm trying to turn on WiMAX on.the.quick setting and this is what it said....

Not seeing that here. I can turn on and off 4G with either quick-settings or the on-screen 4G widget. Any apps running that might be getting in the way?

so im running 1.2.0 now but i cant find where google now is
is it a widget or app?

dose this have the talk back voice search?

You can install the search widget after you've done a little bit of housekeeping. If you haven't done so already, delete or rename the file 'GoogleQuickSearchbox.apk' (it's in system/apps- I used an app called 'root explorer' to do it). Then install the Google Now zip file, and finally install the 'Google Search' widget. It will put a narrow search box on-screen with a microphone icon on the right side. Press the search box, then press the capacitive menu button to setup Google Now. It's that easy.

Heres a primer for some of the things you can do with it: [8/09] Commands & Now Cards For Google Now!!! Video, FAQ, and Custom Widget. - xda-developers

Never mind I'm stupid. Forgot to press the show all htc widgets

A couple people have been asking me about how I got such high benchmark scores: http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-all-things-root/565376-tims-evo-v-4g-tweaks-3-800-quadrant.html

All you need to change in your build.prop is:

change "debug.composition.type" to c2d

add "net.tcp.buffersize.wimax=4096,221184,524288,4096,1 6384,110208"

add "net.ipv4.tcp_ecn=0
net.ipv4.route.flush=1
net.ipv4.tcp_rfc1337=1
net.ipv4.ip_no_pmtu_disc=0
net.ipv4.tcp_sack=1
net.ipv4.tcp_fack=1
net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling=1
net.ipv4.tcp_timestamps=1
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem=4096 39000 187000
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem=4096 39000 187000
net.ipv4.tcp_mem=187000 187000 187000
net.ipv4.tcp_no_metrics_save=1
net.ipv4.tcp_moderate_rcvbuf=1"

and

"ro.telephony.call_ring.multiple=false
ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendataca ll,datacall,signalstrength,facilitylock"

I used Root Explorer to copy the the text in build.prop and moved it to my SD card so I could edit it in WordPad. (I had a previous build.prop file that I just overwrote.)

Install BusyBox. Open it and actually click "install".

Download Dual-Core Mod, EXT 4 Tweaks, and GPU Rendering, flash the zips in recovery. Don't forget to clear cache and Dalvik.

Open No-frills CPU Control and set Max clock to 1.728, Governor to performance, and I/O scheduler to sio.

Before doing a benchmark, reboot the phone to ensure nothing is running in the background.

That's all I did.

I'm having problems when I reboot. It stays on the Beats audio/pulsing screen until I do a battery pull. Then when it power back on it works.

I had this issue once on 1.1.9 ... you may wanna try turning Fastboot off. In Settings / Power.

When mine did that it, it vibrated for a bit and rebooted fine on it's own to be followed by an error in my notifications regarding No Frills CPU.

So far with 1.2.0, I have not had this issue [I do have Fastboot OFF now, tho]

Thanks for the link. I installed the apk of Google Now on my 1.9 version of midnights rom. When I updated to 1.2, I noticed that when I press the search widget, that it comes up the regular google search. What happened to Google Now and how can I keep it so I dont have to keep flashing it when I do rom updates??

Google Now is not included in this version... so basically your Google Now is being overwritten by the classic Google Search. Basically just flash the Google Now ZIP again, until he integrates it back into the ROM releases.

I just installed the ZIP over the 1.2.0 ROM and all seems to be working fine. Maybe he'll consider adding it back in on future releases.

Anybody else want it added back in?

Would it be possible to add a "blacklist" option to stop certain phone numbers from calling? Miss this from my cyanogen days....

I know you could block texts messages from certain numbers, straight from your account in the virgin mobile site.

can you still block them in the "people" screen? I've not installed this rom yet, but on the ones I"ve used you can bring up the contact card and toward the bottom there is an option to block that number.

Yeah that's right, you could also block caller's straight from your phone, going to contacts and holding down the contact's name, then hit block caller.
