Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

What settings are people using to get the 4400+ quad scores?

I saw some other people commenting that they don't get scores that high. With the max overclock and the governor set to performance I only achieve 3701.

Not that I'm TOO concerned. I leave it on the standard clock settings and xondemand governor all the time and the phone is plenty fast for me.

I'm just curious as to why I'm not hitting those scores.
 
I don't know if I'm experiencing a conflict or a problem with the latest version. Since upgrading yesterday I'm having random reboots while the phone is charging in my dock but strangely enough I haven't had a single one while actually using the phone.

I always update the rom to the best of my ability for battery life and performance. I've been running my phone for about 6 hours now, on and off, and i'm about at 70% right now.

What kind of errors are you receiving? As far as I remember, you have to change the mac address that the controller connects to using an app for your computer that you download off of the sixaxis site.

The speaker is on the back, so it's kinda low unless its facing you. BUTTTTTT, i'll add the sony xloud engine in the next version to help with that a bit ^_^

You have to have headphones plugged in, use the included music app, tap the menu button on your phone, sound enhancements, then beats

Random reboots still happen, but the latest kernel that was posted....none whatsoever so far! Expect an update either today or tomorrow with the new version in it ^_^
 
I go the same with the people the volume issue it does sound low after its high and I been having a weird sound when I finished recording like somethin comes loud voice ,tv etc you hear like a scratch buggy sound I don't know how to explain it the sound how its goes
 
New version is a go! Testing it right now to make sure everything is working properly. Seems that the first boot takes a few seconds longer for the setup to start, but besides that, everything seems to be working awesomely.


For those with S-OFF and a downgraded hboot, you should DEFINITELY update your radio to the latest version.

Just put that in the root of your SD card, reboot to bootloader, and it should do the rest.
Then, after that's flashed, go into recovery (it should say that it's in safe mode), do the "wipe everything except sd card", reboot recovery again, then flash the new rom.
There's a big difference. Texts and mms seem to send and receive faster, calls seem to connect faster, etc etc.
Even if you originally did what Leslie Ann said in the thread http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-a...ng-turning-your-phone-into-evo-3d-thread.html , this is a newer radio then what was posted.

Thank you so much, this ROM is fantastic! I'm one of the seemingly few people who actually like Sense, so it's nice to have a stock-looking phone with a ton of performance/convenience tweaks under the hood.

My only minor gripe is that when I'm listening to music with headphones, I'd like to be able to disable the sound enhancers. The original ROM had that option in the menu, but now it looks like I have to use either HTC or Beats. Would it be possible to add that option to a future release? And if anyone could let me know how to disable it in the mean time, I'd really appreciate it!

You definitely can ^_^Just go to menu (in music), sound enhancer, and no effects ^_^

About 30 mins and the new version will be up ^_^

Actually quite the opposite on this phone. I don't how they did it but the phone is loudest when set speaker down on a flat surface. I was pissed for a long time cuz the quiet speaker but then accidentally set it speaker down and noticed a huge difference.

And how do you guys get your phone to scan for 4g. Mine has never scanned. It will connect but my tap to scan buttonhas always been greyed out.

Awesome, thank you! I just installed the new version and disabled the sound enhancer in the menu. I can also confirm that 4G works great with the new radio.

Working flawlessly for me here. Even flashed the radio you linked. Getting dl speeds of 9.7mbps on speed test! Excellent radio strength too. Thanks man. Good work. I formatted and wiped all partitions except sd card before flashing also. I'm s- off. Everything is good to go here.
 
Everything seems to be working for me, but one thing... It wont play flash videos... I had this problem with the last update to. HELP?
 
I was wrong the sound enhancers don't change between any of them. And when you turn off the Dolby mobile app the music goes in slow motion. But at least on my phone speaker I don't see the enhancers working still.
 
I'm not seeing any difference between sound enhancements either with headphones or the speaker. It used to work. :confused:

I don't know about the other enhancements but all BEATS dose is make the sound crisper so it easier to hear the song. It dose not really boost the sound. Just the quality.
That's if your talking about wanting the sound to be louder.

The site is movie2k.com, and it acts like it wants to play the video but just keeps loading... it shows a circle just going around and around like it wants to load but dose not. Also, I was using WIFI as well, and not 3G.:(

Never-mind, I download an app called MX Player and it fixed the problem! :)
