Root [ROM] Minimal Triumph v1.0.9 and v1.1 (Final Release)

help please ! Went to download Mimi,al v1.0.5 on my new laptop HP Pavillion dv7 i7 processor with 16gb of ram and when i hit the download link on mediafire the download wouldn't start also noticed that when i hooked up my M/T to my laptop didn"t see it loadong the M/Tdriver allthough my M/T does show up on computer. yes usb was on. is it because i am on the cm7 tg reloaded that the driver didn"t install? Should I do a nandroid restore the plug in my phone or what.Somebody help me please! Gotta have this rom

yes custom roms do not include the drivers try restoreing barnito's stock nandroid backup it includes the necessary drivers for the MT

Edit: it downloads fine for me try a different browser....
 
ok got to down load. think i got deffective lap top. started the downloadand it ask what i wanted to do , then hooked up the usb cable then the phone then i was able to download the files, guess i am going to best buy today, should i just get a replacement or a different laptop? give me some input somebody.
 
1.0.7 black screened on me at boot as well. Not sure of software version, six bar codes under battery if that helps.

EDIT: 39 is my software version. Which one is thought to support the new drivers?
 
Monsterz & Ziggy ,In settings > about phone >model, mine says ADR6400L. Whats going on there, on any other rom or foyro it says w435? Is this something yall put in or is it the refurbed phone that I have.

That would be the thunderbolt's model number. It's from the thunderprop build.prop mod. It gives more access to apps in the play store.

No not all androids have equal access because google lets devs have device restrictions. I think Gameloft is the worse at it. You can access hardly any games from gameloft on any android, but with the thunderprop mod you have more access since the thunderbolt has more access. Basically it thinks your phone is a thunderbolt and lets you download and use apps that would work on the thunderbolt, but not the MT.

I quess everyone has to be a bit of a control freak at times, thanks for the info
 
So the ROM comes with the fOCk kernel. Any suggestions, Mobstergunz, on upgrading or changing kernels? Have you seen any that work better with your settings?

Which version of fOCk does 1.0.7 use? Do you think it was that or the egl drivers that cause the experimental version issues?
 
The new drivers don't work well for our phone if you plan on playing games...Ive had countless reboots with half of my games using the updated drivers both on the stock roms and CM7. As soon as I go back, all games run fine. I personally don't see any improvements in games other than some benchmarks showing higher FPS
 
ok,so i just bumped into this issue today,and it wasnt an issue before.i was on CM7,and i wanted to come back to minimal triumph.i had done a nandroid of it,so i booted into recovery,wiped data/factory reset,wiped dalvik,wiped battery stats.
now initially on this ROM i had to use GO SMS b/c the stock app had trouble downloading MMS pics.
now when i did the nandroid restore,everything works EXCEPT i can now no longer recieve pics.i must have done something wrong somewhere.
please advise?:(
 
virgin mobile has been having trouble with mms lately on my old sansubg intercept my stepdad has it hasnt been working for the past 2 weeks man

Yeah i always return to Minimal Triumph after doing some testing and ive never had a problem with mms all i can say is wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache, then flash the Rom for a fresh install and if the problem remains check if the mms problem is on Stock aswell if it is call VM it maybe a network issue or you may need a replacement :)
 
Anyway to make my icons all black/white. New apps update with color! dont mind working to make the theme look more awsome!
 
I wanted to compare gaming performance between CM7 and MT. I used Heavy Gunner (it was an Amazon daily giveaway) as I think it is my most demanding game. It ran OK on CM7 (needs a little tweaking) but it kept crashing on MT 1.0.5.

Looking at the reviews, many people have problems running this game, making it either a good or a bad shakedown test.

Thoughts?

Idk.... I find CM7 lags and crashes more often then Minimal Triumph however YMMV

P.S. I run heavy games : Asphalt 6, NFS Hot Pursuit, Shadowgun, TapTap, Emulators....
 
Font installer may have caused a soft brick. I had to restore a backup in CWM to boot. Any ideas which fonts I can replace with the app?

Edit: New question: Link2SD sometimes doesn't mount at boot and I have to quick reboot using that app. Earlier today I changed batteries and rebooted, no auto mount. Recreated mount scripts and rebooted using TI, didn't mount. Used the alert about it not auto mounting to reboot and it went that time.
