Umm. My WiMax doesn't work.

Mine works perfectly fine are you sure your in a 4G area?

*WiMAX is a higher frequency signal then 3G which means its more easily blocked by trees, big buildings, ect.... basically the usual things that block 3G but on a more sensitive level

im on the Third floor of my house now and i get Good signal if i go to the First floor i drop down to Fair and if go in my garage i don't get any signal and if I do get some signal its Poor and usually drops

Ha .... 4g has tripled for me at work, clocking between 4-6 mbps outdoors, in doors 2 and above , at home i was getting between 7-10, la area, nuthin but love mobz

I sent Mobster a PM. No one else should have a 4G issue. Let's just say it was a screw up I made.
But yes. 4G is rockin on this ROM. I like the fact it is available where I need it most... At work. :P

Lifeblows10 has informed me that restoring Wimax from the Nandroid Method may break some people's Wimax its an easy fix if you have previously made your own Wimax backup......

The installation instructions for method 2 have been changed: Uncheck Wimax

I changed the Nandroid file to exclude Wimax

Does this rom include "Leedroid tweeks"? they look pretty sweet. lol this rom looks pretty sweet. it's stock rom just modified right, so it still has Sense?

I did S-off last night no problem, flashed in TWRP 1.1.1 and then tried to flash the rom with only dalvik/cache wiped, but still got stuck at the htc screen. I made sure to download/flash a fresh copy of 1.1.1 and then flashed harmonia 3 successfully.

Then I flashed mobrom over harmonia and got a mashup of the two, but it actually got by the htc screen this time. I loaded up my original stock Nandroid and tried to flash mobrom over that, but got stuck at htc again. Downloaded the new Nandroid-install file this morning and restored to that, but now I'm getting a crazy mix of stock/mob rom. I went back and wiped everything out and restored to the new Nandroid file, but still get the stock/mob conglomeration.
Before you flash or restore, wipe everything, including system.
After you flash or restore, wipe Dlavik.

I suspect the signing on various files are missmatched on this rom and your phone is rejecting some and accepting others (giving you a mix). By wiping Dalvik after your flash or restore, it might force the phone to accept them.

If you make a nandroid of your data only, you don't have to keep redownloading apps and setting up your homescreens and preferences.
If it saves the home preferences and such, this may be a bad idea. You should never carry over system settings from one rom to another.

No it isn't included. I think it breaks some of the (better) tweaks that Mobz put in.
It will break Beats and such.

Sorry I didn't specify. Not going from different ROMs (like Mobz to Harmonia), I meant upgrading ROMs (from a v1.0.1 to 1.0.2, etc).

I assume that the rooted ROMs support cpu governors, and should yield better battery life, and lower temperatures?

Besides fact constant max cpu speed, I really only have two complaints about the stock ROM.

1. The 3VO screen brightness seems limited on both ends, and has no control over the auto setting. I loved the cm7 abilities, but not the control interface and hardware bugs on my MT. Once setup I found the MT screen more readable in low and bright light.

2. I have not yet figured out how the stock ROM handle backlight settings for the silkscreen buttons. As I type on Swiftkey X, they are off. I cannot remember another time when they have been dark. They are nearly always too bright for my tastes.

3 when using an unlock pattern, I still have to slide unlock my phone. With cm7 on the MT I was able to get rid of the first slide unlock screen.

Does this, or any, ROM fix these drawbacks? I know that I will eventually root and ROM my 3VO, but I still looking for a good enough reason to overcome my laziness.

installed over the stock rom from nandroid and everything is SERIOUSLY messed up.

no apps will open, keep getting "unfortunately ____ has stopped"
even google play and settings and browser , literally every app crashing.

will try to install again later not from nandroid.... until then cant really use my phone at all.

Did you make sure to Restore System, Data, and Boot from the Nandroid?

If you didn't restore the Data from the Nandroid or Restored your own data after the Nandroid you can get problems like the one you described

have you tried https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock&hl=en for the lock screen issue?

I just wanted to explain (to the public) why my WiMax broke. (Think of it as a PSA)

When I used Mobster's Nandroid to upgrade to 1.0.4.1; I inadvertently left the "WiMax" checked, which flashed Mobster's WiMax Mac Address to my phone, thus making it impossible to ever reconnect to the WiMax Network. I tried to change it back, but with no avail. As I told Mobstergunz, I only blame myself (I neglected to backup anything, as I just got through S-OFFing my phone, which wiped out any backups.) However, I can't stress enough "Back up your phone before doing ANYTHING." I don't think anyone else will be affected, but if for some strange reason your 4G isn't working, check the Mac Address in the system and on the back of the phone. If they are different, kiss your 4G goodbye.

Since then, I was able to swap out my phone and now have to unlock the Bootloader and attempt S-OFF once more. (And get back on Mobster ROM.. ASAP. Stock don't cut it anymore! LOL) I just thought I would share what happened.

As far as I know, we are limited to the Stock Kernel. However, I was able to use SetCPU to switch the governor to "Interactive" and lower the "min" to the lowest setting. It greatly improved my battery life. I would recommend anyone trying that out and see before you buy a mega battery that makes your phone look... bulky.

Sorry about that it wasn't fully tested and as a result i have removed the Wimax from the Nandroid

The stock rom isn't sitting at constant max speed, if it was, your battery would be dead in no time and the phone would melt.

In fact quite the opposite, most of the time, on stock, the cpu sits underclocked at less than 1gig, and uses only one core.

I'm working on a writeup of my finding, but I will say that the stock power management is horrid.

The settings menu is all messed up, i returned to stock. i cant even access them without an error telling me to report to HTC.

It might be too late for me. I own two 3500 mah batteries already! But I did buy a cradle that I would really like to use, and I have yet to find a belt case big enough for the fat 3VO.

I will try out the suggestions, I assume I will need to root before I can use SETCPU?
