You have to be a member of anthrax-kernels.us, then download the kernel from this post, then delete everything in system>etc>init.d folder, flash the new kernel, rename (or delete) init.qcom.post_boot.sh in system>etc, copy this into system>etc. Reboot. Governor, min/max processor speed and tweaks I made are all in there so you don't need a system tuner type app to adjust speeds (unless you want to). The file I uploaded is based on Southern7 of anthrax-kernels.us so all credit goes to him, I just made adjustments to how I want it to run.

Umm I think I understand I have joined the anthrax com and I can download the lethal from there but you kinda went over my head with the rest do I need a p.c. to do what you said or is it possible to do that with a file explorer?

v2.05 (08/26)

  • Slight Volume Boost
  • Updated Adreno Libs
  • Fixed LoudSpeaker Bug
  • Added New Shutdown Animation

If you are updating from a version with broken MMS a Factory Reset is highly recomended

- with this update Mobster Rom V is now bug free!!!

When you try to send a message in the stock messaging app and in location where it says to if you click the add person it shows you file explorers instead of contacts. It's supposed to show the people's app How would you fix this.

Thats because the New ASOP Contacts is not part of Sense you could just go to the Contact you want to message in the new contacts app, click on the contacts picture, then click send message like so

Sorry if this has already been answered, but I haven't seen it. What exactly does this rom have from Project Butter? Not just the JB launcher, right? Because I don't think the launcher really has anything to do with the term Project Butter. PB I believe refers to things more deeply embedded in the rom that improve smoothness, such as triple buffering. These improvements benefit all apps/launchers on JB.

I don't mean to sound too skeptical, I'm just curious because I haven't heard of PB being ported to ICS, and I haven't seen a real explanation here of what exactly Mobster added besides the JB launcher (which I don't think warrants the term Project Butter).

Sorry to re-post, but can you answer this Mobster? A couple members have PM'd me saying they were wondering the same thing.

Sorry, I totally missed that response! Not even sure how that's possible really, as I haven't seen it being done even on AOSP roms being built from source! But I don't know if any way to test your claims either ;)

Loving the smoothness! Just found a new favorite ROM!

Just a question out of curiosity... is it possible to remove Beats? I personally hate how muddy the low-end gets when using it with actually decent headphones, and the space wasted in the notifications...

You could replace the "HtcListen.apk" and "HtcVideoPlayer.apk" in system/app with the ones from stock but it will most likely break the other Sound Enhancements and the Beats Notification might still be there

- Besides you don't have to enable Beats just chose "No Effects" or a different Sound Effect like "Dolby Mobile" or "HTC Surround 5.1"
