The problem with the Anthrax kernel is that the I can't connect the phone via USB to copy files over unless I'm in TWRP.
 
Hey, Mobstergunz... I don't quite get this S-OFF thing (Ok, I do... but) I don't understand how to enable it. Is the wire trick "enabling" it, or is there something we need to do to enable it?

I think the wire trick reboots the phone when the exploit needs it to enable S-OFF but the timing needs to be just right..... its probably still beta due to the Wire Trick requirement

So install it using TWRP and then use fastboot to flash the kernel? Lol. The triumph was a dream to root and flash away. :/
 
I still can't manage to pull a Quadrant score higher than 2400 after upgrading to 1.0.3. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. All I did was boot into TWRP, flash 1.0.3 after wiping both caches, reboot, wait a few minutes for the OS to settle down, then I ran Quadrant. Using SetCPU to downclock to 1026, I pullef a 2392 score. With it clocked at normal speeds, it clocked even lower at 2091!

Am I missing something?

PS - I'm not running any other tweaks/kernels other than what's already integrated into the ROM.
 
Hmmmmmm, rebooted after enabling the HTC Weather Lock Screen and getting rid of a few system app's that I don't use and now my score's up to 2845 running at full clock speed. Sweet!!

What I do is backup my data partition through the Nandroid Menu, Flash the Rom, then restore my data when you boot it says Android is Upgrading :)

I attempted to flash this before I went to work this morning, ended up getting some sideload failed error in twrp. I didn't extract and fastboot flash boot.img though. I did that when I first installed the rom. Should I need to do it for each update? I'm s-on.

I'm S-On and don't fastboot flash the boot file and it works fine.

Well it said like error sideload failed, it said install complete but I'm pretty sure I'm still on 1.02 since the browser seems the same and I don't see any beats audio app or settings, though not sure there is supposed to be.
 
I really love the idea of having the beats audio and other new stuff, but I like the whole sense lockscreen setup (not a fan of it otherwise). To get to the point, is there anyway to use the newest version of this rom with the sense 3.6 launcher? I saw that you replaced it when you added beats. Guess I'm just being picky and want the best of both worlds.

edit: redownloaded it, the one i downloaded earlier was 355 megs, the new one is 360 megs. explains a lot lol. works fine now.
 
More proof Antutu is useless..

Several Optimus V's have been pulling 1800+ Antutu scores, one pulled 2300.
Do you REALLY think an Optimus V can keep up with even a single core Evo V?

yeah i see scores all over the place with antutu. anything that gives my triumph higher scores than my evo has to be wrong.

It's worse than that.
A Optimus V pulling 2300 matches many Evo V's!

There is simply no way a single core 600mhz phone (even if overclocked to 800) is going to match a dual core 1200.
 
Okay so I might be off topic a bit but I wanted to ask in this thread as this rom is the reason I did it but ... I just got s-off. At the end of the process I was asked if I wanted to install the modified juopunutbear hboot. I said yes. Would this modified hboot have any adverse effect with installing this rom? I'm trying to stick with what you have done mobs just to make sure I am on the right track, and again, thanks in advance.
 
Mobz, I noticed when you add a pin code to log on the phone. If you receive a call you have to log into the phone before you can see who is calling.

Doesn't the Evo V do that by default?

Just checked on the stock rom before flashing mobs new rom and it doesnt require a pin to answer an incoming call. But regardless of that mobs I really like the new rom. Feels great. Looks great. THANK YOU.
