Root [ROM][MODS] K3LSOMOD ROMS [updated 1-20-12] [ICS MINT THEME by PBOT Added]

Great ROM thanks Kelso. I wld jst like to know how to change the lockscreen and take those stars off without using
another app like widget locker?
 
I'm having an issue with file browsers that request su permission. All I'm trying to do is rename PowerOn.xxx. Every time I start the app and allow su permission I'm at / but no folders are visible, searching doesn't work... Astro works fine but doesn't have the req permissions to rename that file.
I just recently updated from CM7 to 2.2.2 and used the updated 4noob root aoi and am running this rom. Where did I go wrong?
 
Still have yet to find a rom that is as stable "out the box" then kelso's stock"ish" roms. Using the 2.2.1 OC kernel and all is well and has been since the first versions.

I have tried most new/old cm7 roms and they are great, but seems a lot of changes need to be made on the user end and may be difficult for novice modders. Just petty issues, so no disrespect to the CM7 porters (I have 2 other OM's and I use CM7.2 on one of them).

I myself am a tech and know my way around computers/iPhone/Android/Wii/Xbox/PSP/Nintendo DS/ and anything else in that field.

Have been modding all my toys since like...1999. lol. Computers/modems mostly, but in 2007ish I got one of my first moddable phones (LG Vu CU920). Back then (like it was forever ago lol) we were happy to be able to get 2nd teir access and create a "theme manager" and made the battery icon "tappable" to change to HTC hero, android (when it was still a baby lol), Samsung and more. If anyone has seen a stock Vu, no page sliding barely any graphics and just PLAIN. I was a mod on the site for sometime (still may be) and totally understand the User/Porter/Creator relationship.
Everything is appreciated and big THANKS to the DEVS who take THEIR FREE TIME to create things for people with no request of payment.

Only thing I can find that causes a "hiccup" is the new "Play Store" having to be downloaded first before market can be used. After flashing a few times, I have noticed the force closes for as little as an hour or up to 3+. How would one go about intergrating the new play store into the zip so it will be somewhat current after fresh flash?

Try going to Google Play and getting the FX file browser, it is in beta and gives complete access to the files, and let me know if that helps, I have worked on the same thing you have, and hated the power on on the metro phone.

i just downloaded this rom and install it but when i go to playstore to download my apps i get FC of the market.any help on this i also see that voice dialer is not or this rom
 
did you happen to remove the stock browser? yes i mean the shitty metroweb one then tht would be your problem. if you removed it then put it back. if not then go into settings and wipe the data and cache from the market and it should fix it.

no the browswer is still there and i'm running GINM RECOVERY not CWM.??
i already did the wipe data,cache not luck

sammyz this is one of the romz that if you install termial E it doesn't work you get the error path not found when you type su or adb shell.???
FYI i re install it using CWM just for the hell of it got it working running good.also netflix works 100% with this rom
with out installing flashplayer. netflix didn't work for me. when i was on sense or backside.
but i still like them roms.going to try beats audio will report back.

You gotta fix permissions the same way you did for that joneidy sense ROM..

wow i forgot about that one thanks well it seems beats is working on this rom i did a sample with out it then with it install sound much cleaner and natural.

what is weird is that netflix works flawless with this rom no freezing/out of sync audio.so this rom must have something others miss.when i run sense rom or backside netflix runs poorly.just my 2 cents after installing this rom today

Different kernel?? Or did you already flash the oc kernel onto this rom?

Hmm, and netflix still works great?

It must be the 2.2.2 ROM files that makes it work better, GB is based off of 2.2.1 files for the most part (I'm not completely sure, someone correct me if I'm wrong).. maybe I should look into updating GB to use some of 2.2.2 files

well i tried it with CWM and GINM netflix still working 100%
going to switch over to my joneidy-sense nand back up to test it.that is on 2.1??
well works good on sense rom too.

well i just tried it on backside netflix freezes slow at times so there must be something in the roms that we need in the other roms.???just my 2 cents after
just trying out all 3 roms mention above.just like the browser from sense is better than the metro one found on this rom. which i swap out.
but i'm having a problem trying to add files to this rom it says the archive is corrupt.when i click on add file.??

Which file are you adding to which rom with what program and to what location?
 
I would also get the force closes of the old "market" after a fresh flash if this rom. eventually it will download the new "play store" and after a couple rebooted should show up. remove the market icon and keep an eye of your data dl and upload, it will update in time. I had same problem many times.
