Root [ROM]{MS840} Number_Two v1.8 ~ ZVA

This rom was super sluggish and unresponsive so I flashed the blitzkrieg kernal from BO and everything works fine. Try flashing the BO kernal over it. If that doesn't work, reflash the v1.1 number 2 rom and then flash BO kernal.

Hows the Blitzkreig kernel working for ya? i got the BP kernel to work but i havent really noticed much difference

ok so im basically ready to push the next update.. only thing is i need someone to find a confirmed BT fix.. has anyone tried the stock settings.apk? thats the only solution i would have.. lol ill check the permissions..

Kanaida tried applying the original settings but it didn't work. Pg said he had a fix but it hasn't been confirmed.

is it also broken in pg's rom? if not than i 'think' i may have fixed it..? lol the permissions in my updater-script were kinda messed up.. im gonna throw it together right now and upload a beta untill i confirm a BT fix, but all other issue should be taken care of.. besides whatever the charger icon issue was.. lol i cant see it so hard to fix ;)

I tried deodexing and recompiling the original Settings.apk from zva, but it seems that when I install it as a system app (replacing the current one), it does not even show up in the app drawer. I am using the odexed framework to deodex the apk using a baksmali.jar that came with dex2jar. I guess I will have to deodex the framework as well, even though dex2jar seems to be able to deodex the apk while using the odexed framework. The files in the framework are .jar files, and I have not learned how to deodex that type of file yet. e.e So I am stuck there.

The problem with the charging images when the phone is turned off is that MtMichaelson used a different type of .rle files found in the chargerimages folder in the root directory since he never had a Connect with him when he made the ROM. Problem is, replacing the files manually won't do the trick since, at boot, Android reflashes the bootimage with the one that came originally with the ROM, thus wiping the changes after each boot. Also, the problem with the LG animation not showing up while booting is because the files in the bootimages folder located in the root directory are missing. Again though, placing the proper .rle files there won't do the trick. For it to work, someone needs to decompile the bootimage (which contains the kernel and the ramdisk) and put the bootimages and chargerimages from the original zva ROM there. That way when Android flashes the boot image, the files will still exist after boot.

Number Two's boot image seems to have the bootimages in the folder they are supposed to be in, but the chargerimages must be from Blitzkrieg. You got your boot image from Broken Out or zva, idrifta?

I have no problem with the charger image on my phone when its powered down, it shows the batt. icon filling up as it gains power and I'm on v. 1.1, but I'm fixin to download v. 1.2 here in a min right b4 I hit the hey so ill let u know if everything wrks or not in the a.m. Thanks ldrifta for all ur hard wrk on this Rom its very much appreciated bro keep up the great wrk :-) :-) :-)

I just quickly flashed your ROM to check if Bluetooth worked and the charger images when the phone is off, then reverted back to BO (since its my ROM of personal preference.) On a side note though, I am using the SystemUI.apk, Framework-Res.apk, RES_Cappuccino, RES_Model.apk, and RES_Sui.apk from #2 since I am a sucker for black themes. :p And the transparent nofication shade is awesome. :)

Bluetooth still can't pair, but I was wrong about the charge images when the phone is off. It is now fair to conclude you used the stock boot.img that came with the Connect which is why the short LG animation at boot and the charge images when the phone is off work while still not being able to overclock. Very nice work though, man. ;)

darnit!!! lol could still be my settings tho :D

I did the LCD Density market fix and I continue to get errors when trying to download apps.... Idrifta is there anything you could do to the ROM to fix this problem.

Edit: I fixed it I read somewhere that error 942 is solved by clearing data in Google Play Store and Download Manager. It solved my issue.

I Have a request/feedback, can you theme the stock messages? right now its white/blue, it would be awesome if you matched it with the rest of the ROM and have it Black/White. I usually use Gosms but then I seen how the stock looked using the bestcandy theme and would luv to keep your ROM without a theme and having the messages black/white would set this boy off :D

EDIT:
I know you dont have a Connect so if you need help you know who to call on.

yes actually i can.. but it will require someone who can dedicate a good hour or two towards testing it lol.. i actually was thinking about it.. but can't make any progress at all without a tester..
