Root [ROM][MS870] hybrid MIUI V5 ROM

OK cool. I should of ask but I was to excited I just flashed ROM and started to play like a little boy with a new toy.Thanks Gt you are awesome and continue to add fuel to that awesomeness...... Thanks again.
(I didn't get an update notification like my other apps when I logged in play store for miui home...

I updated it through launcher settings with no problems yet.
 
Sweeeeeet! I was looking for some glossy glass icons. Just found these in the theme app after looking through hundreds of icons lol. :D

If you want to remove the MIUI look and practically end up with Samurai rom... Sure. Kind of defeats the purpose of flashing this rom though lol.
 
I'm gonna chime in here and say I just want that orange theme on samurai. :D

Since samurai & katana are similar, would the Orange katana theme work on samurai. I'm not ballsy enough to attempt it.

You'll lose the CM10 look from samurai if you flash a katana theme. Also I believe some of the colors will be mismatched(don't remember which).

Since themes are time consuming I don't know when/if I'll make an orange theme for samurai.

Lets try to keep this thread for MIUI rom. I put a lot of time into this one. ;)

This is fantastic GT, super smooth and for me, way less glitchy and buggy than the previous version. I really like the tangerine touches in the status bar and improved look of the SMS screen. This ROMs nandroid size is an impressive 1.4g only. My wife really enjoys the Ui of this ROM, I just find myself to not be an MIUI fan. Great work right here GT
 
There was a launcher update today that is pretty sweet.

All the free themes are now grouped into their own section. They also added a dynamic weather wallpaper section in the wallpaper settings. Check playstore for list of updates.

I might have to make blue and red themes for this rom since I've been using it as my daily lol. :D

Liking the new update also. A new theme would make this guy happy, I love this ROM :)

Hey GT any idea on what the MLT is? I just got the "MLT has stopped" error message. And after that everything else started stopping including MiHome and system ui and framework. I haven't done anything to this ROM to cause any errors. Just wondering, thanks in advance!
 
MLT.apk seems to be an app to gather user usage info by LG (reference link). The error your having has nothing to do with this rom otherwise everyone using this rom & samurai would get this error.

According to posts in this next link, you can freeze it with titanium and it would solve the problem (reference link).

Other than this, I won't be much more help since I've never messed with that app or had any issues with it.

EDIT: Read through every post in second link and you'll find all the info you need.

I got scared when I saw it :D I rebooted my phone and it wouldn't get past the miui boot animation so I pulled the battery and tried again and it worked. I wasn't blaming your ROM though, as much as I use this phone it should've crashed months ago.

Blue UI theme also updated.

Change Log:

  • Partly ported Jelly Bean notification area.
  • Changed battery white color to orange
  • Adjusted "battery low" popup font to white.
  • Added transparent clock/weather widget (highly customizable).

Hey GT! I have an off topic question. What image editing software do you use to create themes? I'm using GIMP and can't seem to edit some images that I want to. I would've sent a PM but I guess you have it disabled.

Primarily I use Photoshop CS6 and Gimp for basic stuff. There's a ton of tutorials online to do any and all things with photoshop or gimp.

Oh yeah I hate PMs, so I disabled them lol.
 
GT, I'm trying to wipe user data/cache under CWM v6.0.4.4 to change roms and I keep getting "E: unknown volume "/sdcard/ .android_secure"" Now I'm stuck using MIUI because the system cache can't be wiped. Any idea what's causing the "unknown volume"? Never had this problem before. Thanks!
