Damn really , a transfer fee ? No way , then i really am getting a discount . She never charges me when i ask her for info and help on mest up phones . I Think i may have a chance after all . Wait a sec , cant we just call and switch phones threw the phone itself if we wanted to ?

dealer as in a Metropcs "authorized" dealer. you'd pay more if you buy the phone from a corporate store.

the store wont just sell you a phone without connecting it. (at least they aren't suppose to) its against metro's policy. the dealer makes the money off of the connection fee. they don't get much if anything from the sale of the phone.

I activated two new lines, girlfriends Motion and my Spirit on the $55 promo plan (its the $70 plan just cheap deal)...my bill was almost $700 and I don't send in mail in rebates because I don't think it's ever coming for anybody.
I think the views are low because the Spirit isn't a popular phone for development. Metro customers research everything, hence why they have a prepaid plan instead of paying car payments to AT&T or Verizon. Research says the S3 is better, and shows more action in forums.
I've learned over time that by the EOL (end of life) cycle for a Metro phone, you can expect the phone to be widely popular no matter what. People worry about having locked bootloaders but being honest I think thatoverclocking kernels would be overkill for this phone. My brothers S3 and my Spirit both never lag, never freeze, no random battery pulls.
Everybody I've met with the S3 has said "If I knew how good the Spirit was, I wouldn't have paid for the S3." We Spirit users are one of two things, smarter than the rest or broker than the rest.

Well you can call me lucky than! In the 6+ years I've been with metro I've always received my rebates without even following up on them.

And after paying about $850 for my SGS3 & Spirit, You better believe I mailed that sh!t in. ;)

The S3 all the way. lol ;)

Both phones are great in their own right. They both have the same cpu/gpu combo (msm8960 + adreno 225) so processing power is the same, but that's where the comparisons end. The S3 is better on everything else.

I can name all the facts why the S3 is better but wont to not start a phone war.

The Spirit is a great phone and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something that can almost stack up to an S3 but is on a budget. I wouldn't have purchased it if I didn't think it was great. :D
 
kool thanks , i was also thinking the same since you can put a sd up to 64 plus the 9 or so internal gb . Plus a lot a lot more things . To me all i really care about is the ability to store stuff in it cause movies are big plus you tube vids . I might have to save me some money for the s3 , its pretty good looking too . Are the screens a lot different , in size and quality ?

It's not much bigger, but big enough to make a difference during usage.

The screen quality is far better, no question about that.

When I watch a youtube vid on the Spirit while on 4G I have to switch vid to HD so that it can be clear and sharp.

On the S3 with HD switched off it looks far sharper and clearer than the Spirit with HD on.

Ok no more speaking of the S3 on the Spirit forum. LOl :) :D ;)
 
I'm getting improved battery life as well, is it the debloat that does it? I left my charger at a friends house and go to the last 2 days out of a charge. Going pretty easy on the web surfing/ videos though.

Update to ROM

I'm uploading the updated rom to my google drive, as soon as it's done I'll post back to let you guys know along with a change log.
 
Hey Game Theory, how's it going? Is the new update is going to address the unreadable sections?

Just read the changed log. Never mind.
 
ROM update is up and link is ready. lol

Just some minor text color adjustments throughout.
If you were fine with how things were than you don't need to upgrade.

If I remember correctly I mailed it in 2/7/2013 which was about 7 days after the phone was released.

Yes the download is ready. check a couple posts up for some screenies. ;)
