Root [ROM] Myn's Warm Z

also myns doesnt have an option to update prl... pretty sure its settings > system update > update PRL .... thats not there
 
im on reboot #5 now ... grrr. Although a slight bit of progress, I turned on airplane mode and then off... when I turned it off again epst did a force close, even though I didnt have it open. 3g thing popped up and the sync button started rotating. However when I tried to get on the net, it just hung. Also the profile information stuff is still blank, like username and stuff.
 
I have a few questions about this ROM, I love this and I want to keep it so I'm hoping someone could help.

1) Does the FFC Calkuin fix work for this ROM?
2) My system updates menu is gone, which itself isnt a problem other than PRL and Update profile. Any way I can get to it?
3) LOVE the new Sense, it's amazing. However, the right Rosie by default is the edit menu for the look of Sense. Mine is internet and I was wondering if you can change it back to Sense's default?
4) Not a deal breaker, but is the Calculator widget removed?
5) Is Sprint hotspot cracked to work like on Warm 2.2?

that is right.. this is not a cdma rom.. so that function is not available.


you have to nandroid backup..
then nandroid restore to one of your earlier backups.. update the prl and profiles...
then nandroid restore the backup you just created.

You'll have to flash another ROM like Myns or Miks to restore the data profile. Restoring from a nandroid backup may or may not resolve the issue. When I tried it didn't work but when I flashed an older ROM it allowed my phone to do a handsfree activation and restored my profile. Then you can reflash Warm Z if you want.

The option wasnt placed in there or it will never be there because this rom is intended for gsm ?
The rom was posted in the Evo section, Im pretty sure the evo is only cdma and not gsm. So I dont know why you wouldnt have options to provisions/update prls and what not. Unless it was just an oversite.

Mr Ed answered this a few posts back. Since this is a GSM port they don't use PRLs so we don't have the option. You can always manually install the PRL file if u need to. Not sure if Myn or team will add this functionality in a future release.

as soon as my phone restarted after restoring nand backup it immediately went into provisioning (yay !!)

So lets see how this works out
 
I don't understand why Rom Manager doesn't let you flash back to 2.6 within the app. It's a hassle to have to download the recovery from your phone.

thats annoying as hell especially when you cant get an internet connection cause of a screw up in the phone.
 
Was trying to flash this in today on another EVO...

I flashed from ClockwordMod 3.0 to 2.6 as per Azakabam's links. Rebooted system and had screen tears. Went into recovery wiped cache/dalvik/batt stats and Caulkins wipe all. Then selected to use Warm Z's zip to install rom.

this is how it went.. the usualy about Amend Scripting..

Formatting System:...
Deleting Files...
Formattin Cache:...
Copying files...
Copying files...
Copying files...
E: Can't sumlink /system/xbin/[
E:Failure at line 15:
symlink busybox SYSTEM:xbin/[
Installation Aborted.
Signature Check:Enabled

The EVO is HW003 on 3.70 with hboot 2.10

1) Yes the ffc six works
2) No way of accessing at this point. You can install an older prl file if you need to. Do not restore your data profile from epst as this will break your connectivity.
3) Not sure if this can be done
4) You can download the tip calculator widget from HTC hub.
5) There is wifi hotspot capability installed.

Stuck in bootloader so I'm going to load a Nand and flash into Amon RA to attempt flash to Warm Z.

I flashed to Amon RA 2.3 and still have the same issue. Verified Signature Verifcation was disabled.

Any ideas guys ? Really want Myn's with Sense 2.0 on this EVO. I'll go back to CW2.6 and RLS5 for the time being

I'm sayin I got up to 1.5 m when I did your profile restore trick and it doesn't want to work well on this rom so I will have to go to a rom where I can update profile without issue so i can see if I get my speeds back up with your 3g fix.

So far on z I have not seen a reason to do the fix. I get the same speeds as on other roms after doing the fix on those roms
 
Silly question saleen ....but have you tried dowloading the zip again.....maybe even from a different mirror

I've downloaded twice, but from the same server. The only mirror is on page 1 and the thread is already 130+ pages. It's going to be tough to find someone mirroring ... I'll start sifting. Silly me didn't realize his Mirror one was separate from the link with the ROM. Downloading now.
 
I am getting a force close just about every time I use my phone more than about 5 minutes. After using a app and going back to the home screen it will force close and then load up again. And work fine as long as I dont sleep ahain. Is anyone else having this problem?
 
I have seen that posted on xda. Flash it again but don't wipe data. That seems to fix it. Did yobdo a.full wipe before flashing it the first time? Twice for good measure
 
I love this ROM, I just have a quick question being as I am new to all this, How long does it usually take to start seeing upgrades i.e. RLS 2, 3 and so on?
