Root [ROM] Nov-13 MeanROM ICS v6.3 | 2.13.651.1 | Mods | Batt saver | OC 1.7 Ghz

Can we over clock with this Rom/kernel set up? I do love this Rom. Not sure if I will flash another works to well. Thanks devs.

With the newest you should be able to. Source is out for the newest base so custom kernels can be made. I believe it already has one baked in
 
If I wasn't so lazy I would get back into studying the stuff. I like the hardware better this programming stuff bores me. With that said, I was reading how the new kernels all were under voltaged a bit... I kind of thought that might be the case but there was no way to edit the proc settings prior to boot. It would be nice to have something in the recovery to tweak cpu freqz and voltages... At least that way you would be able to fine tune things prior to booting.

Thanks Rx. I went back and read the post (most of it lots of followers) and saw that , too. I'm still not sure how to tweak it not that I need to battery was @ 1 day 14 hrs with 32% left pretty stout Rom.
 
Here is a dumb question...every time I clear the cache and reboot it has to optimize all my apps before it starts up. Why does it do that?

Its an ICS thing. I believe it did the same thing on GB but instead of showing you the progress, it just kept playing your boot animation

Its a good question though, maybe someone else can provide a definitive answer
 
And bent my phone and shattered the screen last night at work carrying a beer keg... Guess I will get to test a new phone lol...

New 1.73 Ghz Mean Kernel is a clean, fast "super stock" kernel (thanks Zarboz for being my tutor!)
Updated apps: Google Play Movies, Street View, and OTA Updater

Anyone else seeing the anoying time zone thing again on the latest version? Last time that thing was bothering me was before I rooted
 
New in 4.9 (details in changelog in post 2)
  • Less aggressive multitasking w/12 app hidden/recent limit (stock is 8)
  • Removed some memory-hogging apps from the do-not-kill list for more available memory
  • Decreased the "stale task" kill timer from 4 hours to 2 hours (stock is 30 minutes) to increase memory
  • Moved Facebook app from /data to /system for stability
  • Adjusted init.d tweaks for more stable WiFi connection
  • Updated many core apps: Google Play, Google Plus, Street View, Dropbox, Facebook, SoundHound, and TuneIn.
 
I went from around 4.4 to 4.9 today. :o My former flashaholic self would be so embarrassed

In other news, we should be nearing another anthrax release for the ltevo. Chad has one now and the kernel should be n the hands of testers shortly.

Not really worthy of a desperate thread yet but figured I'd tip my meanrom buddies :p
 
I've been sticking with the meanies the whole way. This is rom has been freaking awesome! It's hard to get away from.
 
Messaging app seems pretty damn stable, no loading screens for the time its been on. Hats off to Mikey, need to get things sorted and donate to him soon. Would love to see the same for the settings menu.
 
I have noticed the past week and a half or so I get a lot of duplicate texts. Normally I would assume it is my signal booster but I reset it which usually ends the problem but now it has actually gotten worse.

Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried doing a prl and profile update?

I usually also suggest staying away from signal booster apps.
 
It is not a signal booster app, I have an Airvana.

I do a prl and profile update each time I update so it shouldnt be that.

I will keep an eye on it, I am still pretty certain it is the Airvana being stupid but just wanted to see if anyone had similar issues. :)
