Glad it worked out for ya.. hard to permanently screw something up on this phone besides dropping it in a lake thanks to all the dedication of the esteem family..

Switch carriers.
There is no "fix". There isn't an option that has a check box for one or two texts. It's a metro issue that's been going on for years.

Uhmm it doesn't say anything about "beta 4" tho I think its the same. I remember downloading the rom as 2.5 beta 4....

I didn't know if it said anything or not but that's the first place you look.
But again, i don't see why it matters. Just flash the official which is 2.5. Feedback on it is nothing but positive.

Dunno if its been said before but volume in settings force closes and YouTube app does too. So far everything else is working perfectly although I didn't have those problems with 2.1

That's an easy one.
You have 2 options:
Op 1 * Go to Verizon, and walk funny for the next 2 years
Op 2 * Continue to pay metro 40 bucks a month, and deal with it!

yesterday i installed this rom on my esteem and everything worked fine... battery life inproved greatly!! i had zvb at the time.. today i upgraded to zvd, then re rooted... now i cant get my phone to reboot into recovery so i can install #2 again... whenever i try to reboot into revcovery it just shows the android monster and a triangle with an exclaimation point inside... what the Hell is this???

Nevermind,... just had to flash clockworkmod recovery again.. and it works... this phone is 100x better now. i was thinking about getting the lightray, but its like i have a new phone with this rom... THanks EVERYONE
